Yes.
I think all of these political... pick out some racial group, gender group, ethnic group... sex group and assign a month to "honor" them is asinine. I think all months like this should be dropped.

People are people. Constantly focusing on things people are born with and cannot control and making that meaningless point the issue that defines them is evil. Always talking about what separates us instead of what unites us is evil.

People think this "unites" us... they are fools, it actually divides us. Always focusing on this crap divides us. Is someone a brave, noble, honest, virtuous, kind, loving, ethical person? That is something to cherish about people. Does someone fit in this race/ethnic/sex desire box? That is the most meaningless crap in existence. People flocking to heap praise on how they were born... of what genetic background, that is insane. People actually think this stuff is virtuous when it is the exact opposite.

This society has never been more obsessed with harping on what divides us.

A little off topic but I'm reading in the sports that ex NBA player, Jalen Rose, a member of the Michigan "Fab Five" is criticizing having a white guy on the Olympic team. It should be all black. So we have people that literally can see nothing about people except their race. Have try outs... pick 12 of the best players. Who CARES what race they are. This kind of stuff is evil. People are so messed up.

I have no problems with Pride month or pride parades. I mean how does that even affect me for me to be any kind of worried about it? Like my life doesn't stop in June, work isn't cancelled, there wasn't a run on toilet paper, stores and shops that have been around forever didn't shut down, I wasn't locked inside for a month and a half, I didn't have to get a vaccine to ward of Pride (you see what I did there, wink-wink).

Our cities Pride parade is one of THE most profitable events for the city. People travel from all over, book hotels, host events the city charges for, give a lot of local bars a lot of business, etc. Covid shut it down last year, and almost did again this year, and they were like, OH GOD OUR MONEY!!!...ahem, we mean, our respect and love for the LGBTQI+ must continue with a parade this year. LOL. People get worked up over nothing and I bet you the complainers would be surprised to learn where that little surplus of cash to fix up the city and fund programing game from!

There isn't a single month event that ANYONE I know at work, home or anywhere else actually celebrates anything like that.

Doesn't matter if its men, women, cancer awareness, domestic violence or any other of a million topics... they seem pretty useless anyways.

Probably should get rid of them, otherwise there is only 12 things that can be championing at a time.

I have no issues with private organizations organizing parades or whatever other events they want, so long as they follow the same rules as everyone else. Could be straight parade, or LGBT parade or whatever.

Personally I don't freaking care. Whatever you're sexually attracted to, go for it as long as its a human and of legal age. Unless I'm looking for a partner, it doesn't matter to me because its not my business. Should you hate on LGBTQ , no thats wrong because its no one else's business what someone else sexually likes as its not affecting you directly.
