I find it interesting that you linked the article but didn't bother to say that BOTH Derek Chauvin and his now ex-wife are guilty of tax evasion. Also the article says that he failed to report proceeds from working an off duty security job. Most members of law enforcement moonlight in parallel jobs. During the case, at least one witness woke up to find a pigs head on his door step, a BLM member lied to get on the jury to convict him (which is illegal but of course no one wants to charge him), Maxine Waters a democrat politician said that if they don't convict Chauvin that they would keep rioting and burning the city down, BLM said much the same thing that they wouldn't stop their violence until Chauvin was found guilty of murder, because the judge refused to sequester the jury (hide their idenities) the jury was receiving death threats, and now we are going to pretend that this was a fair trial and Chauvin is in fact a murderer (despite the fact that if you actually watch the tapes he had the right to use physical force on Floyd MULTIPLE TIMES yet chose not to and only put floyd on the ground because floyd said he couldn't breathe in the police cruiser and said he was clausterphobic and wanted to be placed on the ground (you can go watch the video, its quite clear what he was saying. He has also done this all in the past.) and Chauvin COMPLIED with the criminal, yet we are saying that he wanted to kill this guy?)?

We then have the full video showing that Floyd was placed inside the police cruiser where he began screaming that he couldn't breath, that he couldn't breath and he was clausterphobic. We then have the full video showing that Chauvin was trying to calm him down saying that its a big back seat, they would turn the air on so he was comfortable. We have the full video showing that floyd then KICKED his way out of the back of the police cruiser while screaming I can't breath and also screaming that he wanted to be put on the ground. We have the full video showing that Chauvin then complied (which he should not have done) and put him on the ground and restrained him until ambulances arrived.

We then have the other officers body cam footage which shows this happening from a different angle that shows Chauvins knee was on Floyd shoulder (at least for a good portion of that time) not his neck.

We also have the medical examiner report showing their was no damage to floyd airway or neck. We also have the medical examiners report showing that he died of lethal levels of fentynol and methemphetamines exacerbated by his heart condition.

We also have the training manuals that show that the knee on neck is a standard police procedure for restraining suspects prone on the ground and that its been done hundreds of times without incident.

We also have video and reports of Floyd doing this same thing the year before as a distraction from the fact that he consumed the drugs to hide them from the cops and going to the hospital tends to increase the odds you will be let off because its extra work for the police officers filing all the extra reports.

My stance is this. Floyd had done some pretty bad things in his life, yes. This doesn't justify him being killed. It may justify a certain lack of sympathy but this isn't about sympathy, this is about the law. If you care about the law then you should care about when cops break the law too. The law does not allow a police officer to kill a suspect who is already subdued and offering no threat. You can't just decide that law breaking is justified if it is as a reaction to law breaking. Either the law means something to you or it means nothing. If you expect a criminal to act lawfully then you have to expect cops to act lawfully. Chauvin didn't and now he goes to jail, quite rightly. Floyd could have gone to jail too but he didn't get the chance. He was effectively executed.

Something doesn't quite add up with this story. How does a cop make over $76k a year? In Minnesota? Also that is the average amount that he would have underreported; as in he made more than that. Most employers take a portion of your paycheck in order to pay your income tax. The most my employer has underpaid my taxes is 1%.
