They are obviously not scientific then. If you read papers written by other scientists, that doesn't make you a scientist and your method of "knowing" is not scientific, it's just believing.
Do you mean people with degrees or people who just read articles? Either way wouldn't they have more information on the topic apposed to someone who doesn't read?
It all depends on what you call science! There are REAL scientists (the ones that believe 1 + 7 = 8 and then you have the fake scientists (the ones that believe 1+7=17).
I've met such people. I hate it when some dork reads a book or some internet article and then think they are Einstein. I've also met people who know a lot of science but are very humble and don't puke out everything they know.
The scientific folks may have a lot of knowledge, but few are actually experts in numerous fields, except for polymaths of course, because seeking the facts (not truth, that's philosophy) is an on-going endeavor.

Scientists never think they know everything. But in their area of expertise, they know a fuck load more than you.
When I was in my early teens, I was the same. But people around me make fun of me so I became as stupid as the others. It's much easier to behave silly.
Two things: 1. Intelligence and wisdom are not the same. 2. Intelligence is power. People often get drunk with any sort of power.

Science can’t explain everything. Like how I wake up and I totally forget my dream? How earth is made? Where does the galaxy end? Why are people wired a certain way? There are so many things science and logic can not answer
It's true science can't answer everything. But among everything science can't answer. You chose the ones it could answer. Can science explain how are you reading my words from a device that's emitting lights? Welp!
@invalid1 nope, not correct. There’s no explanation of how the earth came to be. There’s not a reason why people are wired a certain way. There’s not a reason why you forget dreams quickly- you can dissect the brain no matter how many times and you can infer but the human brain is extremely complex
I don't want to be stubborn you know. But earth is one of billions of planets. Star dust and proportional action of gravity can explain a lot. Scientific frontier is way further than that. Good question about the Galaxy, they end at their center where there is cluster or supermassive black holes. Did you know that they rotate simultaneously? They defy the law of gravity 🤯. Science can't explain that. As for people being weird and forgetting dreams. Well yes, science can't explain our consciousness and our behaviour fully from neurology. But also in the same time, we don't forget all of our dreams, and everyone is weird in a certain POV. You seem a lot like a curious science enthusiast 🌷 always search for what you are curious about. And yes science can't explain everything. God bless you.

@msc545 😊
Do you mean people with degrees or people who just read articles?
Either way wouldn't they have more information on the topic apposed to someone who doesn't read?
Just because you read doesn't mean you know the right information
Well if it's research studies or written by a certified individual of the field you do.
But reading you have some information right or wrong
What does an engineer know about psychology for example?
Would you believe them If they say they know about genders psychology just because they read papers?
It's vague and unclear

A real scientific mind never thinks or claims to know all the truth.
I actually don’t understand them, but there are a lot of people who only believe on what they can prove paper and not a higher power

Agree
a surprising number of people just want to sound right.
repeating only the parts that fit their preferred narrative
Well those are bad scientists. I'm a physics student, and I would never claim to know all the truth... just the stuff we have compelling evidence of.
Science can only go so far. And sometimes it’s dead wrong.
When I was in my early teens, I was the same. But people around me make fun of me so I became as stupid as the others. It's much easier to behave silly.
Anyone who thinks they know all truth can be annoying as shit.
That they actually hardly know anything. Our knowledge of our earth is extremely limited.
The science of today, 30 or 40 years from now a new generation will be calling us ignorant.
That attitude is unscientific. Though the US has an anti-intellectual movement which probably pisses experts off.

If some of the scientists have not yet learned the facts that will destroy their arrogance, this is very normal.
It’s hilarious they think they know everything, , especially if they get it wrong
Especially when it gets to people
Yeah!
Science is about facts, at least to the best of our knowledge. It is not truth. Truth is different
