Is it time for Britain to dismantle her castles?

Anonymous
It's been 240 years since the last shot rang out in Yorktown, ending the oppression of American colonists. Today, they claim to be and advanced civilization -- they claim to be our allies. And yet, in the "modern society" called Britain, hundreds of castles continue to stand as memorials to the monarchy that was responsible for killing and torture on American soil.

Defenders of these castles say they are not meant to memorialize the oppression of America. They say they represent a rich history of which they are "proud." Does that mean you're also proud that British soldiers stood and fired into a crowd of unarmed citizens because they were having a bad day? Does that mean you are proud of taxing us to the point of enslavement? Does that mean you are proud you forced us to provide food and shelter for the same soldiers who raped our daughters?

No, Britain, your castles are not memorials of a rich history. They are reminders of the cruelty that humans are willing to inflict upon each other for the sake of money, control, and power. Wave a confederate flag in front of a black man, and perhaps then you'll understand my point of view.
The castles must go!
