It's been 240 years since the last shot rang out in Yorktown, ending the oppression of American colonists. Today, they claim to be and advanced civilization -- they claim to be our allies. And yet, in the "modern society" called Britain, hundreds of castles continue to stand as memorials to the monarchy that was responsible for killing and torture on American soil.
Defenders of these castles say they are not meant to memorialize the oppression of America. They say they represent a rich history of which they are "proud." Does that mean you're also proud that British soldiers stood and fired into a crowd of unarmed citizens because they were having a bad day? Does that mean you are proud of taxing us to the point of enslavement? Does that mean you are proud you forced us to provide food and shelter for the same soldiers who raped our daughters?
No, Britain, your castles are not memorials of a rich history. They are reminders of the cruelty that humans are willing to inflict upon each other for the sake of money, control, and power. Wave a confederate flag in front of a black man, and perhaps then you'll understand my point of view.The castles must go!

Castles were out of date as such a good 100 years before the Independence thing.
Even then it’s was only very modern ones that had any relevance.
the vast majority had become stately homes or had be slighted on orders of the Crown or by Parliament. A large number had not been lived in for about 200 years prior to any Tea Party.

Everyone is content about the security of their seat of Government, never would it’s populace storm it’s precious and sacred seat of government.

I guess King George forgot that castles were out of date when he went looking for a place to die.
By that logic we need to destroy every building in Murica since the American republic has invaded and killed millions if not tens of millions of people in wars. Same can be said about Religions, creed, ideologies, heck Communism caused over a hundred million deaths alone in a span of less than 50 years, not even the National Socalists could do that. Which is almost x3 times the death toll of of all the wars the last 100 or so odd years. So tell me this, Must be destroy the legacy of old, no one was back or evil back then, Nazi's, Commies, Anglos, Japs, Muslims, Jews, Christians. In the end, we do not even know if history is even truthful, so who the heck knows? So why, why do you want to destroy a physical record of history, one not hidden by altered words, but rather an embodiment of the past, good or evil in nature?
Destroying history is a crime. Hitler burned books or the Buddhas of Bamiyan were destroyed by the Taliban cus wasn't a Muslim thing. That's whats a dictator does.
Every nation has bad memories, Korea suffered from Japan. Germany destroyed Poland list goes on. That's what history is. Sad but true. All that castles are belong the world history. Not entirely today maybe, but in the future, they'll be like pyramids. (Which a lot of people suffered from pyramids too.)
British are overwhelming sometimes but I assume America can give the answer by going further. Kore doing the same thing too. J pop was in the world almost for 20 years but K pop takes the hit. I see similarities between Japan and England. They are proud of their roots but that's blocking them from going further. But the US and Korea are more flexible and fast they always focusing to produce not keeping.
You can create amazing statues to honor your soldiers instead destroy something. That's can create a real difference for the future and for the US :)
I've only met one person from England, and he hated the royal family. I told him I thought the whole thing was a fucking joke, and that I didn't know why the people go along with it.
As for the castles... I think would should send over Antifa and BLM to solve that problem.
I find it interesting you bringing this up following something I read this morning about People storming Edinburgh Castle and claiming something or other under a Magna Carta act. No. I happen to enjoy a day out at the various castles strewn over the country!
That's ridiculous. These are historical and tourist sites, some under protection and should be preserved. they have nothing to do with the US revolution or slavery.

Americans go to civil war battlefields. I’d go to a museum to see statues of Union/Confederate generals- just not on the steps of city hall.
Europe’s tourism kinda depends on those castles. Maybe see them as historical instead of monuments?

what use do they have? they look nice but why would people in the UK want to celebrate feudalism? people on that island have no honor or sense of dignity.
The statue of liberty needs to be nuked. It is a symbol of evil the invasion and mass killing of American Indians. USA was once a lovely place.

So you want to mass kill a country because some of the savages didn't like us moving here? I'm not sure if you need a history lesson or an insane asylum. We've always done our best to negotiate with them and their's still dozens and dozens of tribes here.
