Her (democrat): republican party is for the rich and they all engage in tax evasion. They are racist and stopped all poll votes for blacks. I'd never vote republican , only token blacks vote republican. Also Republicans take American immigrants from their families. Gentrification is racist it's to get all the blacks out. Republicans don't pay taxes because they're rich
My response (republican): -The democratic party is not helping you. Wake tf up. They constantly give out handouts such as welfare, ebt , tanf, and section 8 to any and everybody. There are no stipulations in place. Guess who suffers! Us the working class because it comes out of our checks. Democratic party is a bunch of enablers who want to control you and want you to depend on their system.
- poll votes weren't stopped at certain states due to race. It was a party vs party issue. Politics is a dirty game. It was done to keep another party from gaining votes. It just so happens in those states you mentioned majority of the democratic voters were black and latinos.
-Republicans are against illegal immigration not legal immigration. Those who were pulled from their families were here illegally and never gained citizenship. Those individuals are not only draining the system but if a crime occurs how would they track an illegal down? a lot of them go under an alias to get benefits from the system which we the working class gets taxed for.
- Gentrification isn't targeting a specific racial group. It's done to clean up areas which needs to be done. There was a particular area a client of mine lived in where there was drug deals, killings, and robberies regularly, and trash everywhere. That area got Gentrified as it should because those people didn't give a damn about where they live. If they did they wouldn't have behaved the way they did so yes they needed to go

Your aunt is an uneducated fool who doesn't know the history of the parties. The republican party freed the slaves, had the first black senator, first black house of representative.. The list goes on..
She doesn't know anything this is why I can't really talk to her. She's 60 years old yet has no clue what's going on in politics? She spends all her time getting info from others and bandwagoning. I really feel like telling her she needs to start doing research before she opens her mouth because she sounds very ignorant to whats going on in the world
Well lets break that down. Jeff Bezos, richest man in the world: democrat. George Soros, Billioinaire who has funded almost all left wing think tanks and organizations (many of which are just propaganda groups): Democrat. Bill Gates, previously the richest man in the world, now probably second richest: Democrat. Warren Buffet, Billionaire: Democrat. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO, billionaire, has openly censored conservatives on his platform: Democrat.
So clearly the republican party is not the party of the rich (not that it would even matter even if it was). Second, it was democrats that banned blacks from voting it was republicans who fought against this and it was black and white republicans who where lynched and killed by the democrat backed KKK for half of the countries history. So wrong there.
Seperation at the border was an Obama Policy not republican policy. The irony is its the only good policy he ever had as over 40% of those children seperated are not even related to their so called "parents". I believe its only 1% of children are seperated from those who are coming over the border legally. The reason for the seperation is that they use children to get past our immigration laws (if you have a child you get fast tracked into the country), so illegals will either kidnap children or be given children to traffic across the border by the cartels at which point they then get sold into sexual slavery. So she is wrong on that front too.
White people trying to live amongst blacks is racist. . . and its also racist when white people leave black areas because nothing we do will ever not be racist according to the left (who are the biggest racists of all).
In short your Aunt is completely and totally brainwashed (as many are sadly) and she has been given the go ahead to be racist (everything is white peoples fault) and bigoted (everything is the other sides fault and never our sides fault) which has allowed her to make excuses for every single thing in her life she doesn't like which ironically ensures that she will not have a better life (if everything is every one elses fault, then their is literally nothing you can do to change the situation so why bother trying?).
This is the mentality that keeps the left in power and in control. As to what you can do to change her mind, I don't know. I think most people are so brainwashed that only when the angry horde of leftist come from them, only then when their life is destroyed will they actually start questioning the narrative.
If its any consolation my family is pretty brainwashed as well (so much so my mother suggested I was a white nationalist for having an opinion on something that was neither race related nor nation related. I'm currently living with black people and have studied every culture across the world since I was eight. If I'm a white nationalist, I'm doing a pretty shit job of it.). Its just something you have to try and nip in the bud before the person fully develops as the older they are the more set in their ways and thinking they become (this is also why the left run educational system will never teach children how to think, because learning how to think and ask questions early on helps keep your mind adaptable even as you get older).
I disagree with an implication of one of your assertions, and I bring it up because I think it's the core of the issue: Republicans MAY, in fact, be against illegal immigration, but the Republican PARTY is not. Nor is the Democratic party. Why? Because it's a divisive issue that can be framed as "THEY don't want any security on our borders!" versus "THEY don't want to allow anyone to have the same advantages THEY do!". It lets party officials distract the electorate by stirring up anger against "the other side", and therefore not question their own limitations and failures. It also makes them less likely to TALK to people who believe differently than they do, and realizing it's more a question of priorities than of full desires. As a very wise man said, "Men do not differ much about what they call evil; they differ enormously about what evils they call excusable". If our immigration laws were reformed to be logical and sensible, that issue would all but disappear, and would no longer be a reliable tool for stirring the pot.
Also, there are actually quite a few stipulations on welfare reception (probably fewer in place now due to Covid-related insanity, though), one of which is more money, with more reliability, for households with children where dad's not around. The benefits of growing up with a father (or at least father figure) in the home are so enormously they're not even limited to PRIMATES, let alone humans- you see it in pretty much every mammalian species out there. And of course, if you're a boy who grew up thinking it's normal for your father to not be a part of your life, you're a lot less likely to stick around with your own kids, which just perpetuates the cycle. It's a blow everywhere it happens, but it's devastated the black community in this country. There's plenty of room for legitimate disagreement on how to reform the welfare system- I'm certainly not going to claim I have all the answers- but there's not much interest in it when it keeps a whole racial group socially expected to vote for you.
At the moment, it's the Democratic party, and indeed pretty much the liberal voting base, that has lost its mind. The current insanity may be theirs, but political insanity as a whole is not; the Republicans (and conservatives) have taken their turn before, and will again. The Republicans are the party of the rich, yes. The Democrats are the other party of the rich. Cling foremost to sanity, and align yourself based on plans and principles, rather than inertia and tradition. And remember the little rhyme:
Republicans, red. Democrats, blue. Neither of them Gives a damn about you.

It's not about who cares about you. It's about voting for who is going to address your issues. She votes democratic yet complains about everything they're for. So I asked her if what's democrats are for don't align with your beliefs why do you keep voting for them? The above was her response.

It most definitely is. For one thing, the Democrats aren't trying to prevent Blacks from voting as the GOP has for quite a while now.
In the 1960s, Blacks shifted from voting for Republicans to Democrats because the Democrats were actually doing something about the situation of Blacks beginning in the 1940s with the integration of baseball and the armed forces. In 1948, the Democratic Party split into the Dixiecrats who were Southern Democrats (the only kind of Southern politician then) who were supportive of segregation and "Jim Crow" laws. They lost and an era of progressive action began with MLK and Brown v. Board of Education. In 1964 though, the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act were passed by the Johnson Administration taking the mantle from the Kennedy Administration (both Democratic). Where was the GOP in all of this? Well, the party of Lincoln who had the Black vote wasn't for much of this stuff and that was the beginning of the GOP alienating Blacks and getting the white racist vote like it has today. Indeed, for 50 years now, the GOP has alienated the Black vote in order to secure the White vote.

Just a few observations. Without Democrats, we'd have no social security, medicare or medicaid. Every one of us knows people that would be in piss poor shape without it. There are no stipulations? What the heck does that mean? I suppose patriotic republicans would simply let all the poor people, disabled people, out of work people, just live under bridges and scrounge from dumpsters until they pull themselves up by their bootstraps and become CEOs of Exxon.
Poll votes? Sorry, but that isn't a thing. 100 years ago, we had poll taxes, to keep poor people from voting. And Jim Crow laws that required you to pass literacy tests even though poor people were denied an education. Those things were/are unconstitutional. The modern republican party is going full blast to everything they can to make it hard for minorities and blue collar workers to vote. Plus, they aggressively gerrymander congressional districts to lump all the undesirables into a few sacrificial districts. Why? Because without cheating, they can't win.
Republicans want employment based health insurance and pre-existing condition rules. It handcuffs employees to the business because when employees quit and can't replace the health insurance, they're screwed. It's a very subtle form of oppression. You're young and probably haven't ever had to concern yourself with real medical expenses. Some day you. Ask your aunt or your grandmother.
Republicans claim to want legal immigration, but when immigrants came in legally, they changed to rules so that suddenly it's illegal. They admit that they separate kids from families in order to terrorize and discourage them from trying to immigrate. Immigrants are the backbone of the construction and hospitality industries. Immigrants don't cause many problems. They do all they can to keep out of trouble so they aren't harassed. They look and talk different, so they make great scapegoats for prejudiced citizens. Like the Jews in Germany 80 years ago.
To answer your question, I think blacks can be republicans if they want. But why in the hell would a black person want to join the very group that considers them to be second class citizens. Haven't you noticed? Republicans can't understant that BLM is all about wanting to be treated equally. (FYI - I'm an old white lawyer in Texas whose immigrant father grew up in Nazi Germany. I studied this stuff all my entire adult life.) Sorry I was so long-winded.

It wasn't legitimate by any stretch of the imagination, and you will suffer the consequences of the Biden administration's coup d'etat. You railed against Trump for years for being "authoritarian" but now you're being ruled by one; so have fun with being locked in your homes, forced to take things you don't want to in order to live your life, and have your personal possessions stolen from you by state actors.
People who are illegally in your country shouldn't be able to vote, no matter what their skin colour is. If I broke into America I should not be able to vote; otherwise, I could just send an invasion force to the US border and get whomever we want into power.
After the civil war the KKK went around killing off as many Black Republicans as they could find that favored the end of slavery. All the weak obedient house n! ggers stuck with their KKK masters under the flag of the Democrat party on the plantation and started share cropping and asking for handout (e. g. welfare, food stamps, and project housing) from their masters. So I guess what you need to ask yourself is are you a freeman (Independent or Republican) that believes in personal responsibility and success based on the content of your character or are you a slave and do you believe master will always provide for you so long as you do his bidding (Democrat).

I don't know anything about American politics but "token black" is a term that applies to TV shows where they have one black character because "diversity". It's not a term that should be applied to a real person.
