What i dont get is this, every race, Asian, mexican, black, you name it are allowed to be proud except whites. Black women walk in a room sayin, im a strong black woman/queen an proud, imagine me walking in saying, im a strong white woman/queen an proud, id be called racist. even an Asian an mexican woman could walk in an say it, an all would be fine. Also there are black college funds, black tv networks, black churches, can i start a white church? a white college fund? a white tv network an not be called racist? we know the answer. When you honestly consider all i said, how isn't whites are the racist ones, when every race but us can be... proud, and have funds and tv networks an more only for their race.

I don't give a crap about universal standards. It is important for African-American kids to know something about African-Americans who lived and died for their rights. It is important for Asian-Americans to understand the same thing about Asian-American History. Similarly, American Indians and so on.
But yes, when we sent the kids of my community to school, they were taught mostly "White" American History, with a lot about African-Americans and non-"White" groups.
Some "White" people might want the same. Others may not. It is their privilege. Because there isn't a requirement to know or understand the history of any non-"White" group.

So that question makes nonsense. There is no such thing as a percentage. When my nieces and nephews went to school. They needed to know about the Founding Fathers, "White" American inventors, etc. But they also needed to know about the famous debates between Booker T. Washington and W. E. B. Dubios. They need to know who the first "Black" senators were, Hiriam Revels and Blanche Bruce.

I mean, be proud of your heritage, sure. Skin colour is a poor indicagor of heritage, though. I've met white passing or Vietnamese passing full-blooded Filipinos, and 6th generation Canadians who look Greek (and used to have Greek heritage generations back, but are fully "Westernized" now). Also, people whose families are of a particular ethnicity, but who have also lived in Canada for multiple generations - meaning the last two haven't ever been to their "homeland" because Canada IS homeland.
So being proud of your family's history or heritage (provided it is indeed something worthy of pride), is fine.
But when people usually say "White Pride" - especially in North America - they generally do not mean "I'm proud of my Ukranian-French-Canadian heritage". They usually mean they support White Supremacy, which is different from having a healthy respect and appreciation for Nana's recipes and the hardships her generation went through when they arrived in Canada.
White Supremacy is a problem, is racist, is false, and should die out.

This is the game that is being played… People that want power are provoking minority populations to antagonize White people via communism. Minorities are the sacrificial cannon fodder. The people in power know that the minorities will lose that battle. That is the plan. What they really want is to mobilize white people for war and for White people to have a strong central identity. Think how Germany was mobilized with the Aryan master race at the center of it. The same people are behind this push... If you piss off White people enough they will lose their humanity and go to work to dominate and subjugate the world… Minorities that play along and do the devils bidding are dumb as shit. If they succeed at their task they lose everything. The main concern for White people is to maintain liberty. America was set up on an upside down pyramid. The masses are at the top with individual liberty and those in government are civil “servants”. The civil servants want to flip the pyramid and have a dictator at the top with the masses at the bottom as a slave class. The fact that Blacks are using their energy to push a political movement that would make them slaves again is amusing, but I’d prefer to preserve liberty for all.
People identify as various things for a number of reasons, mostly to do with wanting to belong to a certain group that they have access to. So in that sense saying you’re white means you want to identify with white people and be considered one of that group. If you happen to mention this while someone was discussing racial oppression they’re likely to not be too thrilled about it.
If you identify as “white” then you’re technically reinforcing the false narrative that there are 5 distinct races with clear lines between them. While ethnicities obviously exist, they’re really just collections of genes being more common in a given population than another and no one can draw a clear line between say “yellow” and “brown” people because people come in all shades in between.
That said, this argument also applies to identifying as being black. Given most African Americans are mixed race the distinction between the two is entirely based on cultural norms/stereotypes which associate dark skin with animalistic and sub human characteristics. With being white being identified with being civilized and rational and darker skinned people being considered exotic, less sexually inhibited and generally less capable and in need of rescue by white people.

What other races are doing is manifesting their ability to be proud of their own race because they’re the ones that have been oppressed in the past, mostly in America and Europe. You also wouldn’t believe it, but there’s still a considerable amount of racism around the world, and the US is not an exception. Black people and latinos have been marginalized financially, culturally and even educationally. This is why “black schools” exist—they don’t exist to benefit black people; they exist to benefit white people; it’s to divide both of them.
It’s okay to be proud to be white. But it’s not okay when you start thinking that being white makes you better in any way, because it doesn’t. I myself am half white, but I know that “white pride” is just totally a bad taste. Respect minorities and let their voice be heard. They are the minorities for a reason; because for the first time in history they finally have a space for people to actually listen.
That’s why it looks bad when people say “I’m proud to be white.”

Why is it all white people? My family is white and in Eastern Europe were peasant slaves at that point in history in the Russian Empire. Very few white countries actually participated in the Transatlantic Slave Trade, the entirety of Eastern Europe did not participate in this institution, they had their own systems of feudal slavery and were victims of slavery themselves from tyrannical Empires such as the Ottomans in the Balkans. African countries also willingly as part of trade sold their own kind into slavery for profit, Nigeria in particular made a fortune doing so. More importantly, only 1% could afford slavery on mass, the other wealthier 5% of these Transatlantic slave-based countries wealthier crusts such as the upper-middle to lower upper class just had on average 1-9 slaves working as fed, clothed, and decent household servants. While the majority of the population (working or desolate class) were dying in slums and worked in slavery-like conditions at the ages of 30-40. So why are we blaming the whole of white society for something only the 1% made and profited from 100 years ago? Makes no sense to me

History teaches us that not only white people are, or have been, racist. Slavery wasn't exclusive to white people. For example, the first Europeans (Portuguese) who brought back slaves as cargo bought them from African slave traders.

Incidentally, from the 16th to the 19th centuries, a large number of Europeans where captured as slaves and taken to North Africa. Arab slave traders were also active in Africa at this time. So let's not pretend that's just something whites did. And they didn't have immunity to African tropical diseases, so they weren't the ones capturing slaves in Africa and selling them- that was done by Arabs or other Sub-Saharan Africans.
What is skin color anyway. Race is a made up thing by humans back in the day to specity certain people of different skincolor. In reality we are all the same except we all look a little different because of the climate and environment we live in. Dark skin = for hot environments and light skin = for cold no sunshine environments. History has nothing to do with today. Why would you be ashamed at all for something you didn't do. People of all skin colors have their bad and good people and if Asians or Africans were able to conquer the world back in the day they would have done exactly the same. Back in the day were the days of greedy kings that wanted more more and more no exceptions.

You can't just pick the positive and leave the negative. If you wanna team up, identify and take partial responsibility of the people with the same color as you, you have to take the good and the bad obviously. Because being proud or ashamed of someone else's actions implies responsibility, they are just the opposite feelings depending on the outcome of those actions.

Personally I don't think anyone should be proud of their "race" to be fairly honest. It's such a weird thing to be proud of. Human races are not monolith hive minds. You can feel pride in feeling accomplished that you are successful in life despite the possible hurdles that the society that you live in might have set in your way because of your race but overall I don't understand why people care so much about race. Feeling proud of the community that you're a part of makes more sense for example because it concerns the people within it who worked together to achieve success. But a race is a very broad category. Different ethnic groups within a race are different between eachother already.

You're talking about two different things here. White guilt and white pride are two very different things. I can passively not be proud of being white without feeling white guilt... and I'd say that's probably the most healthy outlook one can have.
White pride typically doesn't serve much of a purpose. Black pride or Native American pride or Irish pride or German pride all often serve the purpose of advertising one's culture, or supporting one's own group that's had economic problems stemming from history. There is no white culture though, and white people, on average, are pretty financially well off.
Also, historically, white pride has been mostly rooted in hate groups... so advertising one's "white pride" is basically waving a flag that says "I'm an asshat." Now... if a person wants to have southern pride or something like that I figure that's fine... that's something different than white pride though.

The same I didn't affected my nationality and I don't understand those nationalist who are proud to be for example Americans or Czechs or whatever. Now, to go a little deeper, the past of racial discrimination/racism isn’t that long ago. You say 500 years but the fight for equal rights and to stop getting killed by white men was just beginning in the 50s and 60s to get legalized for POC and women. I still have family leaving that lives through those times. Stories from my grandparents that told me of their times growing up in slavery, and how my great grandparents survived or died.
So if they’re still living, so are the oppressors that helped implant the laws for white succession and white supremacy. As for inventions, most inventions are by poc, with their ideas stolen for white men to take the credit and profit from. JS

I’d much rather feel proud of who I am as a person as appose to the colour of my skin. I can never claim to know what it’s like to experience racism and I would never try to compare anything I’ve felt to that. The fact is people are treated differently for the colour of their skin and it’s disgusting. If someone wants to be proud of their heritage then that’s great but defining ourselves by skin colour is pointless, unnecessary and outdated. I wouldn’t want to be any part of that and therefore would never stand here and say I’m proud to be white. I’m proud to just be me as a person who treats others how I prefer to be treated myself.

Well, I am proud of who I am and, to be honest, my skin colour is not at all the reason of that. As I live in a predominantly white country and my skin colour is the same as everyone else's, I'm not self conscious about it. I am who I am and the other people are still the others, despite having the same skin colour as me. I can imagine, p. ex., that black people in predominantly black countries feel the same as me.

I think one's point of view would definitely have to be taken into account. For example: Manifest Destiny, Slavery, and the division of South and Northern colonies were awful moments in history.
But if one was able to comprehend the fact that the Spanish, Portuguese, and English did similar things while colonizing, then the White's would see that they weren't so bad. Moreover; from religious tolerance, free speech, and the creation of Nato, this proves that history has gone so far and should be treasured as advances. Whether or not an individual thinks it was great or bad.
I'm not disappointed to be white but I do feel like other races blame whites today for the mistakes of our ancestors. I also find it troubling that for years people of both black and white races keep trying to fix racism with racism. There should be no laws treating either race different or special, there should be no black or white colleges. Until everything is exactly the same for both there will be tension.
I can be proud of my accomplishments- raised a couple of good kids, made a half-way decent home, have a nice family- fairly comfortable retirement nearing. I'm not going to apologize for it: I-along with my wife- earned it! It didn't drop from a governmental cloud. I just happen to have more melanin than some and less than some others.
Media and some weirdos in social media tell you there is a guilt. Personally I never felt guilty for my race. I must admit as I started to improve my English beyond school level, I was surprised about lot of "white guilt" articles in US media.

People can be proud of who they are in the sense of their individual self but simply being proud of being white does not even mean what you are talking about. The term “white” is typically used to describe Americans with European decent, Europeans don’t typically call themselves white so being proud of being a white American is essentially being proud of genocide, slavery, bloody wars etc.

I understand your view of history revolves around your perception of '"African-American history", but there is a lot more to US history than that as well as different perspectives. One of the biggest falsehoods I hear sometimes is that "slavery built the US", which isn't even close to being true. It's inaccurate stuff like that which is the basis for your thinking.

I'm very much a critic where criticism is necessary. But I've also spent a lot of time overseas, and I appreciate what we have in the US, while acknowledging it's far from perfect- you see only grievance. I suggest you spend some time overseas as well, maybe in sub-Saharan Africa.

First off I see grievance where grievance is and this country is full of it so I’m not about to wave the American flag and become a blind patriot because I was born here, and secondly I never said anything about tearing down the White House 😂 and third if slavery was detrimental to the us economy then that’s no ones fault other than the Europeans that brought slaves over here in the first place
Maybe you should be grateful for the opportunities you do have (and you have a lot of them). No one is forcing you to live in the US. If I was as full of grievances as you are, I'd move to another country. And you should acknowledge what was built in this country with hard work and innovation because it gives you the standard of living that you enjoy today.

Yeah, I'm proud to be white. I mean I'm not proud of some of the things that some whites did in the past to others who are no longer around either. But I am proud of the fact that the majority of the greatest accomplishments of mankind were and continue to be done by whites.

I absolutely agree. humans hold a grudge for way too long. Everyone should just realize that their own cultures, races etc are just beautiful in their own way. I don't know if I am white since i am mixed but my skin color is white and I am proud of it, I find it beautiful just like other skin tones. I'm proud because I know I am not a part of the people who exclude others because of their race/color.
Yeah of course, with out us people would still be living in the jungles and only live till 30 years old. Unfortunately we didn’t fuck like bunnies and not care how to care of so many children so because of that there are less and less of us. The left believes that whites will be too strong if they are allowed to feel pride. Their aim is to break them down and humiliate them so that they lose their power and allow others to surpass them. Any white person that goes along with that deserves what they get and their child deserve to be second class citizens as well
No matter how far back in the past you go, you will find dirt on every single race that ever existed. None of us are innocent.
Being proud you were born with a skin color is silly. With a race that was historically oppressed, it's more about gaining rights and bring confident about their identity.
But beyond that, being proud of ones skin color seems silly

Why is anyone proud of their skin color? I don’t understand. No one is safe in this world. Everyone is an enemy to everyone.. over NOTHING. Because of your ancestry, people judge you. It’s dumb as hell. No one likes anyone because apparently you’re the one and you’re responsible for who oppressed their ancestors 200 years ago.
White is not an ethnicity, for that matter its not even a homogeneous culture. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your French, British, Italian, etc culture. But the color of your skin...

Just to be clear, you're proud of being the same colour as some people who actual did something worthwhile. There's no suggestion that you did anything worthwhile yourself. That doesn't seem like a reason for pride to me.
