Do you have a optimistic, pessimistic or neutral view on the world?

Do you have a optimistic, pessimistic or neutral view on the world? And which gender do you think has a more optimistic or pessimistic view on the world. This to me is an interesting point of topic generally I felt woman had a far more optimistic outlook on the world but that could be debated same for thinking men have a more pessimistic view. I think generally mist would say that each gender is fairly neutral but I think thats the easy answer, and the naive answer. But what are your thoughts 🤔 for me I'd say I used to have an optimistic view but now have a pessimistic view.

I've always had a pessimistic view and now I'm even more pessimistic. Considering all the crazy things that are happening I feel that the world is ending.
I would say that men usually have a more optimistic view and women the pessimistic one in general.

I was thinking the opposite. It seems women think by just doing what they want it’s all going to work out… optimism at its finest.

Men in the other hand tend to be logical thinkers. They see this bullshit and think well that’s that the world going to hell and I’m out lol. It’s a scary world when realism is confused for pessimism.

@menina your mistaken yes men tend to come off laid back and without worry but that isn't because we aren't without stress or worry it's because thats how men are raised. Men are basically raised to be like machines, I perfect example of this is when woman constantly say they'd like to see men cry more. Men don't show that often if at all because society and even those same woman categorize men that show such emotions as weak and unfit to be a romantic partner. I feel like a lot of woman are very hypocritical, they try to portray themselves as innocent kinda and positive people but underlying is hypocrisy and a bleak outlook on things and others. Ofc this isn't all woman don't get me wrong but thats how I've done to see woman as pessimistic.

I'm not saying that men don't have problems or that they're not worried about their issues. Of course they do. But I genuinely believe that they have a more positive outlook in life.

I hate this whole thing of "men don't cry". That's stupid and toxic! Men should be able to cry like women are. They have feelings too.
I guess that's one of the reasons why our world has so many gender related problems.

Very true it's sad honestly but society has a firm grasp on how things should be and neither gender wants to make real effort to changed things except for a small group of woman that preach for equality that only benefits them.

I hate this cruel world. I hate these stupid horrible humans that live it in. I hate the way we have to conform or suffer alone and silently or we’re bullied for speaking out. Yes this is a negative view but… is it so far from the truth? I think these thoughts while negative are realism not pessimism.

It is not about gender in my opinion, more about your upbringing, your privileges and disadvantages and also your age.

I see myself as pretty much pessimistic person in terms of view on the world. Rather, well who knows, mix of neutral and pessimistic, I am phlegmatic person, so go figure haha.

On the contrary I believe Gender plays a big role. Are gener plays an inherent role in how we are raised from the moment we are born. While woman face there shares of struggles men deal with far more on a daily basis though life in terms of hardship compared to woman. Which to me can deeply effect your view on the world. The things you listed I feel would just further reenforce those ideals or feelings. Or even justify them.

Funny enough this question acme to me based off a realization. Just from looking from something as small as the media we consume I feel like most men have at some points sought after a sorta of escape from the world even for a short while the things that come to mind for me in terms of media or entertainment is usually video games or movies or comic books , anime a lot of these are based on fantasy with some real world elements but not to heavily. And some of these can media outlets can have a very optimistic view usually in the protagonist. Especially super heros. And generally men are the ones consuming this media

While woman do and can consume these and similar types of media even if based in fantasy I find there is usually more realism in the media they consume a lot of woman aren't big nerds for super heros and fantasy based media while some if this media can have large female fanbases . Depending on the media they can be the minority in majority of cases

I would say that gender play role in society, not alone. What you should do because of said gender in society... aka good job, good housewife, good school etc... which hits differenty for so many people, so also, personality plays huge role in the gender problem.

It is kinda the problem that you could generalize and say men are more pessimistic and women more optimistic, by said expectations by society and typical archetypes of "gender nature", which still, I know plenty of woman who are pessimistic and plenty of men who are optimistic.

But generally, I would maybe even agree on your take. Being a man, you are expected to study well, have a good paying job, buy a house/flat, be productive an the "man". Which for woman, typically by said standards is just be a good housewife. Now, let us just say we do not want to do that. For a man, this is an struggle, big struggle, because he does not offer anything else. Housemaid as a man is kinda looked down upon and I do not really see that much often, those guys are pretty much lucky (funny to say, I would kindly be and househusband haha, I am pretty good at those tasks). For a woman, it is just thing they are good at, studying (studies even say that woman are better at academia now and more happy than every, men are not). Hard to say overall yeah, I have just an anecdotal evidence on this and most people who are pessimistic are man, even tho some of those people are woman.

I here what your saying I myself while throughout my life having a positive outlook in recent years have become very pessimistic especially towards woman nowadays which is sad because I feel like they already have a lot of there own hardships but being a man having delt especially with mental hardship but because of my gender more often not being overlooked. And even under valued as a man I'm the eyes of woman. I do feel unintentionally bare some critical resentment even more so given the more lax roles and power woman have in society in a lot of areas compared to men I feel like there are many even in modern day in my age range who just want more and more when they already have so much power and complain about so much. Like spoiled children even I'm my outlook you can here the pessimism. But in that same vain I can not put the blame entirely on woman cause men bare some of that as well.

In one of my favorite shows of all time Naruto there is villian I'm one of the pain arcs of the story. And I always think to myself if I ever got super powers I'd probably end up just like that villian. Because while he wants to bring peace in justice his pessimistic outlook on the world and it's people had lead him to do it in the quote on quote wrong way through violence and destruction to then rebuild from that ashes. Even symbolically calling himself "pain" something that ties us all together because we all feel the same pain when losing something dear. Some men hurt woman and some woman in tern hurt or treat men poorly and that triggers a vicious cycle of pain and hatred not just in love and romance but this can be applied in every aspect of life.

And interestingly enough I've noticed that many people mostly men who have seen that show an that villian in particular have left pandering the same two important questions that villian asked the protagonist of that show and in reality the questions that he was asking the viewers. 1. How would you tackle this vicious cycle of hatred to create peace and 2. Are human beings truly capable of understanding one another to create that peace.
