I remember this dumb-ass from a few months ago when people were mocking her. I am someone who is very much overweight almost entirely due to hypothyroidism and have struggled my entire adult life to try to lose it. When I finally get a job that pays enough for me to pay for Simvastatin or other medications out-of-pocket to afford to do something about it, it's in a country that doesn't offer the meds I need. Just my luck.
Regardless, I still go to the gym and still do kickboxing, even if I can't ever lose a single pound from it. Most people who are, don't WANT to be overweight, and the few who do like it are obnoxious women who have "feeders" (men with a fetish for women gaining weight) chasing them, and say this stupid crap only because they're insecure with themselves and can't handle it.
I don't accept "fat acceptance," but I DO think people should be less of assholes about it. Weight loss isn't as simple as "eat less," despite what some very dumb people on the skinny side think. When you starve yourself daily, your metabolism stops, so that helps you RETAIN weight as you go into starvation mode. Weight gain also isn't as simple as "overeating" either, because not all calories are different (that's why you can gain weight eating the same amount of calories in carbs or sugars, than you could in vegetables). What you eat and how often you eat, are the keys to weight loss... At least for most people. And yeah, most overweight people would rather not be overweight. We don't say this "fatphobic" idiocy.
There is much information out there now about diet and exercise , there is ZERO excuse for being fat , particularly when young , get with the program DO NOT ACCEPT BEING OVERWEIGHT ! simple , dont make excuses.
Its a life choice.
Weigh , everyday , watch everything including drink you slap down your GOB , ..
No excuses ( AGAIN , just kidding yourself )
All should at very least aspire to correct weight , and correct BMI , and understand what it means to health. Gets lost in " free choice " bullshit.. The world , must be in shape , for a plethora of reasons.
Idc i was obese i wanted to lose weight i hated myself because everyone hated me i stopped being obese but i am still “overweight” and it is still not enough. I am still trying to lose every single kg…
I just want to feel like a female because when u are obese u are treated like trash. Its a fact.
Imagine how obese men feel LMAO.
Not worse than us. Nobody cares about obese men but being an obese female is like a no no.
LOL
What? 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😂😂😂
Of course not! Being fatphobic is discriminating or mistreating someone just because of their weight. If you advocate for weight loss you just want that person to be healthy and to live longer. To call someone fatphobic for that reason sounds crazy.
You thinking that weight has anything to do with health is you being fatphobic. (according to morons on TikTok that is)
They're lost... 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
I'm glad I'm not on TikTok. People waste too much time on that app.
It isn't just TikTok. These kinds of people are everywhere. There isn't that many of them on here (thank god) but that is why I asked the question to see how many idiots say yes.
Yeah. I guess social media affects people's minds.
Look we got our first like! And of course it is a woman 😂🤡
I'm not taking about your comment I am taking about the poll
LOL
I saw it. Maybe she's not serious.
Nah I would say she is. I'm sure there are a few people on here you think like that. Not a lot but a few.
That is so stupid! It's not fathphobic at all.
*fatphobic
I agree

I think the drive for people to convince themselves something they don't find attractive themselves is actually attractive is the more telling thing.
If you're secure in a belief you're not regularly trying to convince others. It just comes out of your with a sense of conviction of what's true, just, and right in the world. The little implications in how you say things. The sense of ease you have and tone of your voice says everything.
Taking a stand to say something is fatphobic is a sign of deep insecurity
to answer all the questions in the image:
1: no, it's healthy (if you're not already skinny) and we do not need to talk about it, cause that's objectively true.
2: exactly. that is the purpose behind that remark.
3: exactly, cause that is objectively true.
4: well hopefully they feel bad and are motivated to lose weight, cause they're certainly not stuck with being fat. being fat is a choice. and if you disagree with people saying it looks ugly, just let them keep their opinion. you won't change that anyway. if you think it's good looking and you don't mind being unhealthy, then why give a crap about people that think otherwise?
wtf. Being overweight is bad for your health. Period. It's not about anyone else except the person who is overweight. The only person who can fix it is the person who is overweight. If they don't care enough to lose some weight, then why should I care enough to play stupid games to save their feelings?
No, it's not. Especially when someone, key word here, "I" referring to themself. "I want to lose weight." Meaning themself, no one else, just them.
Those who get mad at people taking responsibility for their own health in that regard are the ones with an issue. In fact, they would technically be the ones fat shaming. "You dare to get skinny? I find that offensive!"
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. Obesity causes a lot of other health issues. They're are a lot of reasons to lose a few pounds. You're not telling them what to do, you're just stating a goal for yourself. I don't see why you should let their insecurity affect what you feel like you should do.
Maybe but you see I guess humans are prone to wanting the best for themselves and others and no can deny that, I'm sure even most of the "fatties" as some put it bluntly so want to be as healthy as anyone else. I mean it's a biological urge to produce healthy offspring and to be in a fit shape.
So being healthy is fat phobic.
Being alive is death phobic too.
Having two legs is being parapalegic phobic
Enjoying living animals is being phobic of tossing them alive in to a wood chipper.
Stop with the shaming language. It’s ridiculous and repulsive and counter productive at this point
No, it's healthy and can be a personal preference. Some people just need to stop whining every small god damned thing. There are people who shame fat people just because they're fat. Many fat people can't do anything about it as obesity occurs due to different reasons in different people. But saying that wanting to lose weight is fatphobic is ridiculous and dumb. Also, fat isn't desirable to everyone and it's just a matter of preference.
Being fat is bad, and not desirable.
Thinner is inherently better.
I want to lose weight, even though most people are fatter than I.
If this is "fatphobia", then I'm happy to admit to being fat phobic! :P
Possibly, but if so, there's nothing wrong with that. Being fat does look worse than being a healthy weight. And if I felt like losing some weight, I wouldn't care what people bigger than me thought about that. It would be my business, not theirs.
Yes and that's okay. Something like obesity for example should be an encouragement to lose the weight.
Obseity leads to health problems, obseity limits you from doing your daily activities in a proper, easier manner.
No. Fatphobic I would say is someone that is too afraid to gain any ounce of weight. That is boderline eating disorder mentality
When I saw my oversized, overweight self in the mirror, I was absolutely disgusted at myself. T'was time to regain my old, sexy form. That's all.
LMAO. Please go and tell FatPheebs that.
But, being fat is bad. Ask any legit doctors. Normalizing obesity is bad.
Being thin is also not necessarily better.
Being healthy is better. Staying on your ideal BMI, moving around is better.
Dear "Body Positive Fat People",
Being fat is NOT better than being in shape. A bit overweight, fine. Rolls of blubber, not good. Obesity is a serious health risk, and it certainly limits your physical activities.
As to the second part, I don't really care how someone bigger than me feels if I say
"I want to lose weight", just because they need to lose more than I do.
No, not in the way it is used. I'm afraid of being fat. So, I guess someone would say I'm fatphobic. But I'm not scared of fat people.
No, that's just common sense. Being too overweight is bad for one's health
It’s not fatphobic. People need to stop tossing that word around. Just be healthy, god…. Being overweight is not good. Don’t make it okay by glorifying it…
I think being fearful of heart disease is pretty reasonable actually
why wouldn't i want to lose weight and become my best self?
