Social media and divisive politics. Hate groups, such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Proud Boys and QAnon have been agitating people with non-stop posting, which makes more people want to go out and commit crimes.
This is why I am in the process of deleting my Facebook. I can't trust anyone anymore.
@doopayo then why do I see BLM activists harassing an Asian hostess for not letting in black customers who did not have CDC cards? She was only doing her job. That alone was enough for them to lose my credibility.
A few blm activists all of a suddenly do the define the entire movement. The point of a movement is a philosophy behind it, I agree there are some looting that happen but it’s inevitable. Blm is a very big movement so it’s not like we can regulate the type of people that come to protests. All we can do is our best and we do try our best by hiring people to stop fights or riots from breaking out.
I’ve also read up on the situation and it’s more complex than you’re leading. From the other peoples perspective they had said the restaurant lied about them not having vaccination cards, the fight broke out after they saw the hostess let in a group of people that did not have a vaccination card.
The hostess basically suggested they’re vaccination cards were fake, spoke condescendingly to them, and allegedly even called them a racial slur.
on Saturday, lawyers for both Carmine’s and the women said that the three women had, in fact, provided documentation of Covid vaccinations
Security camera footage reviewed by The New York Times shows three women, who were with several other people, being ushered into the restaurant after showing documentation near the entrance. Several minutes later, three men arrive to join the group, but only one of the three shows a vaccination card, lawyers for both sides said. A short time later, after the three women, who are Black, have joined the men outside, the fight breaks out.
So in general, you should really research the full story before making an assumption. The media will do anything to try and discredit blm and Antifa, The media didn’t even treat the far right extremist groups that raided the capitol nearly as bad. They weren’t tear gassed, hit with rubber bullets.
138 police officers were injured. Four officers who responded to the riot died by suicide within seven months.
Yet looking for the media condemning those people like they constantly condemn every little incident that involves a blm protester should make you think.
@doopayo she did not call them a racial slur. Security footage is there to prove that she was only doing her job and those three women were overly aggressive. I don't mean to disagree with your way of life, but I cannot support an organization that is destructive.
I believe you’re confused. You’re acting like a few people are somehow representative of an entire movement, again you’re going to have to link the article we’re it has the proof they actually didn’t use the the slurs because I found an article talking about the footage and it mentioned that the footage saw that the lady let in another group of people that had not shown their vaccination cards.
It’s borderline illogical to blame an entire movement over a few bad apples even if what your saying is true, discrediting blm as a movement is stupid. What does that prove other than you aren’t even willing to look at the social change that blm advocates for all because you’re so blind sifted by the few bad apples that are at protests that I’ve already explained the media excessively portrays in a bad light for no reason other than it’s against their corporate funding to be supporting the movement.
@doopayo and I also saw that they purposely targeted the Asian hostess and not the Latina or black waitresses. There is sufficient camera evidence that those women were acting like brutes and had no right to assault her. And BLM has lost all credibility with me when they were saying bad things about Asians and how they owed the black community.
That is coming from an extremely privileged position. The black community is tired of our people constantly being murdered unjustly by the police, so if you care more about protesters looting a fucking store than a person being shot and murdered by the police for no reason than that’s a you issue.
Justice and liberation never happens peacefully and to think it does is neo liberal bs
You do realize isolated instances aren’t equivalent to reality? Black men are statistically more likely to be shot and killed by police than a white man
@doopayo that is correct. Many of them, however, were doing things they should not be doing. George Floyd was not a good man. He was a robber, a home invader and a thief. He refused to return the cigarettes bought with a $20 counterfeit. Granted, I do not think he deserved to die, but his machismo to compensate for his insecurity put him in that situation.
Your argument is a logical fallacy. No one in BLM is saying george floyd was a good man because of what he did in the past. We're saying it was wrong because of the police brutality that resulted in his death. Do not straw man our position, they make it very clear they stand up and fight against police brutality.
No... I think prosecutors are just more willing to attach the label to charges... we can't read minds so hate is something that can only truly be confessed to, not proven.
Hate crime is a great way for the intelligent judiciary to override sentencing limits without going through the idiot voter's legislature.
That’s such bs. If someone goes and is attacking someone specifically for the race and has been shown to have questionable interest than it’ll be classified as a hate crime
When you ever expand the definition of “hate crime” then don’t be surprised when they rise. Government creating a problem, it’s then compelled to “fix”
I'm not quite sure what you mean? Someone can commit a crime and its not premeditated, there are no other offences. Then there are crimes motivated specifically due to race, gender, sexuality and religion. These also don't have to be premeditated, but the likelihood of them not being the first crime is very small. Hate crimes rarely happen out the blue. They usually start small. Especially if its a reoffending attack on a victim. 9x out of 10 when hate crimes are investigated there's been taunting prior to the "big" crime. So I'm not entirely sure why you'd say what you did... If you can help me to understand I'd happily see your point of view.
The sentence or charge is determined by: if you're also from the same race, its proven to not be agreivated, not racially motivated, not premeditated, and judge upon the mental state and severity of the damage caused.
I'm not a police woman nor a solicitor. I am only going by what I know by the law. Through criminal offences my family or friends have been subjected to. Its possible to not know all the law. But have a firm grasp of what it entails. If you can find the law book on such subjects which you seem to be better versed at I'd happily see my misunderstanding.
So you're penalising me for a typo? I think we are going off topic here anyways... There are reasons hate crimes are listed as a hate crime. History, human sociology/psychology, and culture prove that injustice takes on many shapes and forms so in any situation when a crime is committed all evidence is linked to tell a story along side the sequence of events. I'm sorry you don't feel happy with this. But this just how it is. And I can't see it changing any time soon nor would I want it to. You're basically asking us to be less specific about the nature of a crime when the perpetrators are very specific about why they committed the crime in the first place.
Why does my race matter? If a person of any race commits a crime, whether its against the same race or another its still a crime. If that person specifically targets someone for no other reason other than the fact that they are from a different racial background that could be construed as being racially motivated. As I said before I am not a law enforcer so I cannot detail specifically to the extent of how they determine that. I can only assume in a case where a person could commit one crime. Never knowingly said racist things. Or belong to a racist group but attack a person from another race. Racism would be determined through the investigation. Racism and racist attacks aren't always black and white scenarios. Hence the recent need for police to understand the 'grey' areas that still fall under racism
First of all, there's no such thing as a "hate crime". ALL crimes probably have a certain amount of "hate" or "anger" within the minds of the perpetrators. What we DO have is a lot of "division" and "persecution" taking place due to the rise of the Communist Beast System. We are in the final days of the EndTime, That's why.
People of influence stirring the pot create and keep hate active.

This question is only concerned with UK and is not relevant to the majority of the world’s people. If you care about hate crimes in general you should cite statistics beyond just UK where only a tiny fraction of the world’s people live.
When Americans talk about American things you don't get British people telling them how they should pose their topic. So I think if you have something constructive to add that would be helpful otherwise I really couldn't care less
Actually I do see that sometimes. If you only care about the situation in a racist imperialist island like Britain don’t expect others to have constructive opinions for you.

Antifa and blm is a hate group equivalent to proud boys? Funny joke
@doopayo they are all on the same level. they are all a bunch of dumb fucks
Antifa is fighting against fascist, blm is fighting against racial injustice. Proud boys are fighting to kill Jews. We are not the same.

You’ll really force yourself to believe anything just to discredit blm.
An isolated incident in no way represents an entire group let alone political movement.
The majority of blm protests are non violent, the media blows the violence that occurs way too much in a sad attempt to discredit the movement.
@doopayo I do not see it as discrediting, but rather that I should not be expected to support a movement that victimizes my people.
If you think that’s what the movements about than it’s no one else’s fault but yourself for not doing your own research
@doopayo it has spiraled out of control.
@doopayo and I saw one instance in which an unarmed white teenager was shot and killed by an African American police officer.
@doopayo I do not recall straw manning anything. It is not just what he did in the past, he acted unruly and refused to return the cigarettes.
No... I think prosecutors are just more willing to attach the label to charges... we can't read minds so hate is something that can only truly be confessed to, not proven.
Hate crime is a great way for the intelligent judiciary to override sentencing limits without going through the idiot voter's legislature.

"Specifically for" again, that is a motivation and we can't read minds.
We like blaming someone for our troubles or relinquishing guilt.
When you ever expand the definition of “hate crime” then don’t be surprised when they rise. Government creating a problem, it’s then compelled to “fix”
What's a hate motivated crime to you?
I find all “hate crimes” to be bullshit. They should never have been created. You are making crimes unequal depending on the victim.
I'm not quite sure what you mean? Someone can commit a crime and its not premeditated, there are no other offences. Then there are crimes motivated specifically due to race, gender, sexuality and religion. These also don't have to be premeditated, but the likelihood of them not being the first crime is very small.

Right, so you're criminalizing someone's thoughts. If I punch you or punch a man, the crime should be the same.
The sentence or charge is determined by: if you're also from the same race, its proven to not be agreivated, not racially motivated, not premeditated, and judge upon the mental state and severity of the damage caused.
There's never a premeditated charge when someone kills someone else of the same race? Are you sure about that?
I'm not a police woman nor a solicitor. I am only going by what I know by the law. Through criminal offences my family or friends have been subjected to. Its possible to not know all the law. But have a firm grasp of what it entails. If you can find the law book on such subjects which you seem to be better versed at I'd happily see my misunderstanding.
You're not in the US, but there is certainly 1st degree murder vs. 2nd degree. 1st being premeditated.
You're basically asking us to be less specific about the nature of a crime when the perpetrators are very specific about why they committed the crime in the first place.
I am asking you to treat all victims equally under the law.
And they are slowly being treated equally. That's starting by the police gaining a better understanding of what each crime entails.
They aren't if you aren't in a "protected" class.
So are victims not the protected class?
Are you white?
Why does my race matter? If a person of any race commits a crime, whether its against the same race or another its still a crime. just answer the question, it's a simple question.
There's probably less hate crime now but what has changed is people are now able and willing to report it.
because thanks to the covid measures, poverty is on the rise like crazy. and because black lives matters is making racism cool again...
Mix entitled, ignorant, traumatized and psychopathic into one pot and you’ll get your answer.
People of influence stirring the pot create and keep hate active.

Mean posts on Twitter r hate crimes so not sure if I can take it seriously
I think twitter seriously needs to come to an end because it's just a firestarter... Constantly arguments and mad statements. People are losing it...
Good.
Loony lefties, blm's and antifas!! A shitload of nothing but severely brain damaged psychos!!
Democrats didn’t hit up the capital…
@dustybiker BULLSHIT they didn't!!!
Uh, huh
@dustybiker Glad to see that you agree with me!
We both know the facts. Your side = always trying to warp reality.
@dustybiker You're side doesn't even know what reality is!!
You don’t know what side I am on. You on the other hand are always crystal clear.
@dustybiker Thanks!
If you STILL think it was Trump supporters that did that, then you're NOT on "my" side. THAT'S crystal clear!
Oh? Let me quote you, “You’re side doesn’t even know what reality is!!” Learn from yourself.
@dustybiker Your point?
My point? Lesson the random hate on here. Open up minds to see other points of view, leaving ridiculousness out of it. All sides.
I don’t care about the UK I don’t have a good opinion of it sorry
UK is filled with violent people the culture is just bad
@lilyanony1 I don’t care about your question because I don’t care about UK
Nobody cares, they're extremely rare and we need to focus on real issues, like robbery and rioting
A lot of reasons. You can report anything as a hate crime even when it is not. Can you vouch for these numbers that you chose?
This is the kind of thing I always talk about.
Anything and everything is a hate crime.
@fjh80 I think yes
Probably increased reporting. Crime used to be just crime. Now everything is a hate crime.
They are not on the rise, just being reported more.
Well it didn't help that we released a bunch of people from prison early.
I always blame media for dividing people
In my experience their ones who hate themselves.
