Trying to get a bill passed that contains many components that have upwards of 70-80% approval despite a Republican party that will not allow a single Republican vote for it. Do you really think that, even given a bill that just did one thing, like Medicaid expansion to cover dental, vision and hearing (which even 2/3rds of Texas voters support, the same in Wyoming), they'd get a single Republican vote, let alone 10? No Biden went directly against the advice of his military advisors because he wanted the optics of being “the president who ended the 20 year war in Afghanistan” despite being a very low level in the recent years.

Don’t bring up Afghanistan. Biden’s decision was both selfish and extremely incompetent. He got thousands of our Afghan allies killed (or endangered over there). He severely weakened out international reputation (who would want to ally with the USA) and last but least American citizens are still stuck of over there.

The previous administrations were incompetent at executing the war and installing an Afghan government that wasn't corrupt. The Taliban is back in power because the Afghan government never cleaned up their act. If you were incompetent for 20 years, you should be fired from your job too. So, Biden got out - effectively firing the Afghan government. The alternative would have been you and me paying for an endless war because of the incompetency of the Afghan government.

As for the Taliban and the weapons, I am not too concerned and, if you worked in the defense industry like I do you'd understand why.
