I think it's great. I'm strongly in favor of legal assisted suicide. Several countries allow it. They all should. However Switzerland is the only country I know of that allows foreigners to enter the country and do it.
It can only be done under certain circumstances and has a lot of safeguards. To be against it is to be in favor of torturing people. Because that's exactly what being illegal means.
In the US, assisted suicide is not allowed. But living wills and DNRs are allowed. They are not only allowed, but in some states doctors are required to honer them. ( Living will is the "pull the plug" document requiring that they be removed from life support under certain conditions. DNR is Do Not Resuscitate, meaning if the heart stops for example, they won't use the paddles or other means to revive them.

I think it should be an option for extremely terminally ill patients and that's it. If they start letting people do it cuz they're depressed or you know something else then there's going to be some moral issue I think. But if your pet is dying and then pain it's okay to put them down but if your family member is dying and in pain we have to let them suffer you know I think it should be a of course up to the person themself to decide but I think in some circumstances it might be ethical
It is only for special cases. Like if someone has cancer and will die from it while this cancer is causing them extreme pain and discomfort then the can do assisted suicide. No average joe or someone with a mental illness can do this. Its just there for an easier way out than the painful alternative.

Cancer is just the easiest disease that kills people to use for people since it is a common knowledge thing, that cancer can lead to death. It can also be used for Parkinson's disease if you want me to use something different. There is millions of diseases in the world that we have no cure for and can lead to a very miserable and painful death. Since a person with one of these diseases is going to die anyway, they at least have the right to choose for themselves, to make it an easy way out.

North Korea is technically a religious state, its just that their religion is dedicated to their leader rather than some claims by a dude living thousands of years ago.
