The few countries that went through decriminalization of drug use have had staggering results in the positive. Drug abuse should be treated like a medical care issue. If you are in
pain a jail cell won't help but make connections with other people in pain wanting the same medication.

So safe drug kits keeps marginalized groups safe including people in poverty and minority ethnic groups, even marginalized sexualitys. As the old saying goes "we are only as strong as our weakest defense."
