I know. And showing resolutions like this with zero elaboration why these countries voted as such is mostly a rhetorical exercise as opposed to a legitimate argument.


For example, one may point at the USA voting against a UN resolution stating the right to food, which was greedily used by those who oppose the USA to describe it as malign.


So why did the USA vote against? First, a UN rapporteur said that a focus in that resolution was inappropriate. Second, a large part of the resolution falls outside the expertise of that council so it should be decided elsewhere. Moreover, they stress that they do support the right to food as declared in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and work towards the goal of minimizing famines and such.


It’s a fairly dumb take to demonize a country for voting in a particular way in a resolution purely based on the headline of that resolution without actually assessing *why* they voted that way.

And why did the USA vote against here in this resolution? Because it argues it was simply a device used by the Russians to demonize Ukraine. At the same time, the USA commits to condemning glorification of Nazism, promotes the remembrance of the Holocaust and to fight for these essential freedoms.

So yet again, judging countries based on how they vote in a resolution without reading why they vote that way is just dumb

Um, not relevant to the question? It's COMPLETELY relevant to the question- you attempted to make the US (and/or Ukraine) look bad, because people natively assume that Nazi=Bad, so anti-Nazi=Good. Tartaarsaus pointed out that geopolitics is actually complex, and ignoring the reasons behind decisions to simply paint one side as bad with absolutely no context is disingenuous.

Want more direct evidence? Okay. Please show me where it's listed- or accept that you're just propagandizing.
