Even though I am 100% pro-life I'm also 100% pro-choice and I think that they would have a battle on their hands it's just wrong you cannot force anybody to do anything that is against everything that I believe in any way a woman has that free choice when we were born we are all getting one gift and that gift is choice we make choices each and every single day but it's our choice is not somebody making our choice for us the word choice is more powerful than the word love and the word love is powerful

I’d move countries immediately and give birth. I’m extremely comfortable in the USA and was born and raised here. But it would absolutely be fck america if they tried to make me do that shit. So yea ig i somewhat understand why people who are for abortion dont like being forced to keep it. But i’ll never fully understand them because i still consider it murder and feel Giving up the baby for adoption is always the better option. Someone wants it even if they dont. But i dont expect people to understand if they lack a relationship with God because thats needed first and foremost for a lot of people to understand certain perspectives

China does/(did?) it. You could argue that there is currently a genocide going on with the Uyghurs and force abortions and sterilizations. I personally think abortion is on the same level as slavery and eventually society will come to see it the same way.
Though in a more colloquial sense it’s an interesting argument for about government power. The same could be argued about regarding forced vaccinations, smoking bans, even socialized medicine in some ways.
How important are human rights? Which take priority? What are the risks vs free choice?
It’s too bad we can’t have these conversations anymore as a society.

This is a good question because there is no legal distinction between a state preventing abortion and a state forcing an abortion, which is something a lot of pro life people seem oddly reluctant to think about.

There IS a distinction. If the state can force an abortion then you've lost control over your body. If you don't want a child, don't have sex. You're still in control of weather or not to get pregnant.

You lose control of your body the moment said you cannot have a type of medical care because they don't like it. You either have bodily autonomy or you don't.

@Hanrej That's exactly right. If you think the distinction is a lack of control over your own body (more commonly known as "bodily autonomy") the state telling you you must donate your body to grow a fetus is also a violation of that for pretty much exactly the same reasons.

You cannot form a legal/logical argument against abortions that can't also be used to force abortions. You must rely on moral arguments. But the problem is to make a moral argument that others might believe, you have at least show you intend more good than harm and that you are willing to pay for the harm. And as long as the pro life crowd deafens themselves with screams of "socialism!" any time someone brings up publicly funded child care or schools, no one should believe they intend any good with the same "morals" they apply to resist bodily autonomy. It is, in fact, extremely cynical to assume that anyone would believe it, as it preys on people responding spitefully to a narrative the pro life people control completely.
