To support anyone who sympathizes with child sex offenders is beyond disgusting. But that’s now what every single Democrat is now doing.

And of course a few Republicans in the mix as well who are all enabling this to happen. When all it takes is just ONE DEMOCRAT and every Republican to stop this from happening.

But of course the Democrats are only concerned about ethics when its a Republican in question.

Anyways it just pisses me off that they don’t have the decency to pick somebody else instead.

They simply don’t care and that’s the part I find truly disgusting.

And even worse there are still some Republicans who are so gutless they’re falling in line and are too soft and afraid to speak up.

Politics in this country regardless of political party affiliation is about putting party success first rather than what's correct for the country and the citizens.

Out of all the judges (hundreds) Joe Biden could've picked or even if he made a mistake picking her.

Congress should reject such a judge as this Jackson lady and ask Biden to pick someone else they can send to the Supreme Court.

Politics wise this is a very rare instance I have to agree with @OddBeMe.

Even though us republicans need every person we can get because we’re outnumbered in both houses of Congress we ought to be policing our own and Gaetz should be officially censured and frankly removed from office. There are more than enough things he did that are vile and despicable and conduct unbecoming.

For the record Adam Kinzinger did call for his resignation, but frankly every single member of both houses of Congress should have as well. Yes, we are outnumbered but justice matters more so far as I’m concerned and what Gaetz did is deplorable.

At least as far as Congress goes, I will have to agree regarding this matter.

For what it’s worth, you know I’m a staunch conservative, but frankly I think Franken got a raw deal. I think some of the accusations were over embellished and frankly I don’t give them much credence. Like the whole picture thing or supposedly grabbing a hand full of ass during a picture…. if he even did any of that with malicious intent I think using the term sexual assault is a way big stretch. It’s also worth noting he was not indicted with anything unlike Gaetz.

Gaetz on the other hand…it’s possible him and Greenberg didn’t know the girl was 17 until after the fact but I strongly doubt that and there appears to be what is more than ample evidence to cover it up once they positively knew she was 17. He should be officially censured and held accountable.

I do not make excuses for nor condone deplorable behavior regardless of what political party the person is a member.

I would hope the rest of the Republicans are just waiting for the final aftermath which is fair, everyone deserves their day in court but if that day comes and they aren’t calling for censure and resignation than shame on them.

The thing is right is right. If he’s right, I have to agree.

If you investigate into the Gaetz case you’ll find that there is a mountain of evidence pointing to his guilt.

Yes, everyone deserves his day in court and judgment should probably be reserved until all the facts come out. The problem is if you carefully investigate it appears he’s semi changed his story consistently. That there were communications going back and forth between him and Greenberg that indicate that at some point in time they were aware the girl was 17. Whether that was from the start or later on is certainly a matter of debate. Greenberg has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. I’d be inclined to believe if he was innocent he wouldn’t do so.

So the thing is, justice and truth and right matter more to me than partisan politics. Politically, Oddbeme and I agree on almost nothing, but in this case I do believe he is right.

In regards to Franken, if you look further into the details there I sincerely doubt most of the accusations he was accused of are true and should all those accusations be 100% true, what he did is maybe inappropriate at best, and in my view not worthy of being labeled sexual assault. At worst he forcibly kissed someone during a USO skit, grabbed a hand full of ass he shouldn’t have, and made a mock up picture like he was pretending to grab someone’s breasts. I think it’s a smear campaign. I do not agree with his brand of politics at all but again, right is right. Even if he’s guilty I think he was dealt with too harshly and again, I strongly question the validity of the claims against him.

So that’s why I’m supporting and agreeing with oddbeme regarding this issue. Justice should be no respecter of persons. All should be held to the same standards of accountability and punishment regardless of political affiliation.
