Why do people think just because Trump's kids are corrupt, it excuses Hunter being corrupt?

A lot of Dem's are stating they/no one doesn't want to see Hunter's laptop then go on to mention how corrupt Trumps kids are. Well they are lying, cause I want to 100% see Hunters laptop, Trumps kids being corrupt doesn't give Hunter a pass for being corrupt. Both Hunter and Trump's kids need to be fully investigated for corruption.

Is using an accountant to do your taxes and avoid paying within the limits of the law corrupt? Maybe morally.
But to my mind political corruption that is a politician and members of their family using the federal government to influence foreign and domestic policy in a way that benefits their personal finances in anyway whether it be in regards to shares, bribes, donations whatever is corruption at the highest level. In wallstreet brokers are banned from insider trading but politicians are free to trade shares based on insider information.
President Biden and his family have invested heavily in Ukraine and the arms industry, this I believe has influenced the US goading Russia into invading.

They just acknowledge the people pretending to care about whatever nebulous crimes Hunter may have cause aren't serious or they would have pretended to care about any of the long lost of crimes the trump kids committed. On the left, we'd be happy to see every rich person who has ever J walked get held accountable to the full extent of the law - or if it's unreasonable then stop arresting poor people for it. Certianly we would like to see hunter face consequences if he committed crimes but for one thing none of the right wing noise has alleged a crime - it's all smoke and mirrors so far - and for another thing it's not fairing our contenders get held accountable and suffer the political fallout but the other side never does. Equal, impartial accountability or none at all.
