It is a lot more than a fence. It was designed per Border Patrol specifications. Border agents can see through it but people cannot get through. Many border agents praised the construction of the wall. The boots on the ground agree it was an effective tool to secure the US. Also it sent a message to people who planned on entering the US illegally. It sent the message that they were not welcome and to stay home.
Who cared if Mexico paid for it? It is estimated that each illegal alien costs taxpayers 35-50 thousand dollars per person per year. Conservative estimates say 2 million have entered illegally since Biden took office. Do the math.
2000000 X 34000= 70,000,000,000. The 11 billion spent on the wall is more than worth it.

I have no idea what their lives are like to risk it all getting out. Probably hell. Most of them are decent hard working humans, I wish we treated the issue more seriously and tried to fix it.
