Another 12 children were gunned down in school today.   
 
 Why do you think mass shooters are almost always male and without a father figure? And can that knowledge be used to identify and prevent future mass shootings?  Sadly, I see the seeds of these tragedies in the young children. Their hearts broken, broken families... with every child without parents and fathers, the risk increases. Each of those tragedies can turn into a much greater tragedy. Society has to bear the burden of addressing it's problems Some will talk about, race. That may be another attribute, but not so clear it favors one group over another: Men... do you see how important you are to children?  Guns don't kill people. Hopeless, broken hearted people do.

Yes, I see all types of failure in kids these days without positive male role models in their lives... but lets not put all the blame on men as a whole. Because these women play a part in that as well. I have a very verdictive and controlling ex wife, so the fact that I have literally been cut out of my children's life has nothing to do with anything I ever did to them or her. She literally destroyed the relationship or any possibility of me having a positive influence in my children's lives single handedly on her own.

Secondly I think society has a whole far and above demonizes men way more than we see women being. Even here in your post, you see a single mother with no father and you call out to "Men... do you see how important you are to children?"

Why not consider saying Women do you see how important the father of your children are to them, don't put yourself in the way of that. And of course men have to step up, no doubt... but there is two sides to every coin so lets not forget that.

Women never killed with gun they usually do with poison. Just like when they commit suicide, they do it with poison or medicaments never gun. Men commit suicide with gun and when they kill someone they do it with a gun or with their hands.
I don't know how to explain it in English (I'm French) but women never kill directly (gun or hands) they always do it in a indirect ways (poison; medicaments, etc...) which could explain why they aren't mass shooter.

The absence of a father figure is the leading predictive element in future criminal behavior of juveniles. No, I don't mean "children"; this isn't limited to humans, or even primates; you see it with elephants, too.

It's almost like ripping out a core element of a society that evolved to have and NEED tdat element damages it! And demonizing people based on gender and ethnicity disaffects them! Who would've guessed, except people with basic knowledge of psychology?

I supported- and still support- gay marriage because I believe in the ideal of the family, and am willing to allow experimentation with other forms of it. I don't know how same-sex couples' parenting will affect their kids, and neither does anyone else. Want to mitigate possible damage? Bring the extended family in. Whether they're related or not, the advantages of having that kind of stability in your life are HUGE- I saw it firsthand. A society that teaches that family is a small isolated thing that has to keep moving around and never put down roots anywhere is asking for trouble.

Because having a posative male role model is very crucial in our development on a mental and emotional level. Without one around or a negative male role model around it can very much throw our mental and emotional development off course and send us in a negative direction. For example it can create jealousy and anger towards kids that do have a posative male role model around. It can also do the same if a child has a negative male role model around. Simply because it is a case of another kid having something that we don't have.

I'll be 100% honest my father took off shortly after I was born and my younger brothers father started using drugs and that created it's own set of issues. So I ended up on both sides of the spectrum. It did lead to jealousy and anger towards kids that had their father around and a posative male role model because of it. Thankfully I had a grandfather that did his best to provide me with a posative male role model. So the negative impact was not as bad a it could have been.

If it was not for my grandfather I know the impact would have been worse. More then likely set me on really bad path. The path that would have probably lead me to addiction issues and or in and out of jail through out my life. The man reason being that not having a father around does leave a void in a boy when we are growing up. So I would have probably found something seriously negative to fill that void. Or I could have ended up being influenced by a extremely negative sudo father figure.

The main reason I stayed on the straight and narrow growing up and left booze and drugs alone was become I didn't want to disappoint my grandfather. Sure I didn't want to disappoint my mother either. But our relationship was strained at best. Due to that not disappointing my grandfather was much more important then disappointing my mother ever was.

I feel this is more than just lack of a father figure with a lot of these mass shooters. If we delve into this it comes down to broken homes, mental illness, lack of involvement from the parents, lack of action being taken when troubling behavior is displayed (much like what happened with this TX shooter), bullying, antidepressants/pharmaceutical drugs, etc. It is a lot in this to look at.

Now if we really want to go down the gun control road it becomes a slippery slope of what is allowed and what isn't because now it becomes an intrusive topic to responsible owners and criminals and action being taken.

So for example if we want to implement things like psychological evaluations, let's look at potential issues. The psychologist is the one to determine who is mentally fit for firearm owning. Who is to say that they won't try to bend and flex the rules overall? Like what if they say anyone who wants a gun is already mentally disturbed and will not be cleared, or even if they show one simple sign of a potential mental illness or if they had even seen a mental health specialist in the past, does that automatically disqualify them from owning a firearm? What if they were prior military or law enforcement that had training and were trusted with those weapons while on duty and now want them. Are they allowed to own one because of their profession or is that another bar as well that they need to clear and jump?

Next comes things like age, background checks, licensing and training. How much of this is going to considered before this grows into a matter of just taking guns away outright?

Because undisciplined, ill socialized men are dangerous. This has never not been the case. Male focus and aggression is powerful, but that power can work against us if it isn't properly channeled. That is why the father is such an important figure in the family unit. You have ONE chance to properly socialize and discipline boys during their upbringing, and if you miss it they will likely remain undisciplined for the rest of their lives. Undisciplined boys become undisciplined men, and undisciplined men only end up in one of two places: jail or the ground. This undisciplined man, who committed the shooting, ended up in the ground.

Generally speaking a missing father figure leads to a whole host of issues down the line in a child's development. The reason why we do not see female shooters much is that women do not typically Resort to violence generally speaking. Men do. So you see male shooters. With women you'll see more intrigue and psychological abuse that may ruin other people's life's in other ways that aren't as flashy and obvious and easy for the media to make a sensational report about as a shooting. Race doesn't play a role in this. Culture and socio economic status sure does tho.

That is another false flag operation. There are so many false flag operations by the USA. Most countries have false flags but the USA is extreme. Such event used to happen twice in a century. Now they are happening every month; more than 100 times as often. No intelligent and logical person believes people are that different from the past.
