When you see how useless and cowardly American police can be, does it help you understand why Americans would rather carry their own gun?

So the cops chased this creature to the school, the creature went into the school and began murdering children, and the cops did the same thing that that sheriff's deputy did in Broward County, Florida. They took position outside the school and did NOTHING, for over an HOUR, while they could hear dozens of children being murdered inside.

It doesn't really say anything about arming oneself but it does say something if the one reason anyone would ever actually want cops consistently turns out to be the one thing they won't do. Why have them? Teenagers are targeted for military recruitment because they lack caution and will sprint to their death if ordered to. But police are largely adults who want to make it home to their own kids or whatever. That's understandable. But when the rubber meets the road the illusion protection is worse than no protection. So to the extent that it is understandable it also invalidates the need for cops in general.

I think they deserve the chance to prove it. Or would you rather just keep paying taxes to these useless cowards while monsters take over your town? Insane.

I'm not excusing these idiots - they had a job to do and they failed, miserably. The solution however is not to worsen the issue with even more guns and violence.

Applied violence is precisely the solution to this problem. If the police are too stupid and scared to deliver it... 🤷‍♂️

And my contention is that civilians won't be any bolder. And if they are they won't be any more just than a police force.
