You’ve heard of these places: Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, Buffalo, Los Angeles, NYC. The places with the strictest gun control are places were angels fear to tread. At the risk of having to re-learn the lessons taught to us by tens of millions of dead communist in the 20th century, I’ll keep my guns, thanks. Perhaps any friends from down under can explain how the threat of being hauled off by armed government thugs to a concentration camp makes them feel better in the middle of the night?

That's because surrounding states are not separated by proper boarders. It's very easy to smuggle guns to example of such states when ones around it have it legalised.
Imagine if Scotland for example had the 2nd amendment culture America did with guns that are allowed in the non-stricken states, England would quickly have guns easily crossover.
School shootings over in England would be a quick thing, shootings would raise even tho England would have stricter gun laws compared to Scotland.

Now this all changes if the entire land has laws similar on strictness, like how Scotland and England are now. You think school shootings happen in my city? nah, you think shootings are common? nah. Why? because we don't live right next to a easy supply of guns to be smuggled in.
Unlike many states in America.
You have to take guns out of the equation for the mass land before it stops been a major problem. Which is why UK is so effective we are a small collection of islands separated far away from smuggled in guns from america for an example.
If you put England next door to Texas tomorrow we would be screwed with shootings everywhere.

You think the reason why states with strictest gun control laws have most gun related deaths is because they use guns from states where they are legal even though those states don't have such high number of cases? Obtaining a gun illegally is not as difficult as you think. Anyone with half a brain who's desperate enough would manage it, you just need money. Fairness, now- the places with the strictest gun control are in authoritarian hellholes like China; they don't have mass shootings there. Not private ones, anyway.

You do know it's possible to buy a gun in one city or state then drive to another city or state, right? That might explain why gun control works on a Country-Wide level, but not on a city or state level. And why school shootings happen in the US, but don't happen in other modern industrialized countries with gun control.

Medical experts can’t even solve major crises in their own lane, if they could stay out of public policy issues they don’t have the relevant expertise in that would be awesome. It lists gun deaths by population—obviously a few gun deaths in a less populated state looks worse than those in a more populated state. Now add in the fact that it looks at “gun deaths”. If you get shot in bum fuck nowhere Wyoming you don’t have a trauma center and ER down the street like you do in LA. Hospitals are further away, and there are less of them in rural areas. So of course they have a higher chance of dying from a gunshot.

@Agagagagaga Gun deaths are measured on a per-capita basis, not on the basis of population, and it clearly states so. When things are measured within a population, they are ALWAYS done on a per-capita basis to account for population differences.

So let's look at the statistics you posted which, are guilty of the very thing you accused the statistics of I posted of because they are not measured on a per-capita basis. (And for now I'll ignore the fact that you change the subject from gun homicides to mass shootings.)

California has a population of 39 million people, so on a per-capita basis they have.58 mass shootings per million people. This is very close to Florida with a population of 21 million people and a mass shooting rate of.57 per million people. But not as high as Wisconsin with a population of 5.8 million people and a mass shooting rate of.86 per million.
