Reason I keep asking these questions is because I’m trying to work towards a solution.
Now let me clarify, I am firmly oppossed to an “assault weapons ban” or whatever they want to call it. There are millions of responsible gun owners all across the country and I would like to own an AR-15 myself someday.
But in terms of my belief I think it is best that we limit those with a desire to kill to less lethal weapons. While also allowing other groups of people the right to self defense. Granted they could still obtain more dangerous things illegally but they are probably less likely to because I assume it would generally be easier for most of them to buy something less lethal legally.
So in this scenario people with the desire to kill would inflict less fatalies.
