Again, if this was not a phrase used in common parlance, especially by politicians, I’d have to agree, but given the above referenced source cited 15 recent uses by democrats of “fight like hell” when referring to our democracy, I’d have to side with those saying it was never meant to “rally the troops” I come from a long line of liberals. My father was a liberal party member in Britain and a Democrat when he became a citizen, and my mother’s side are all Democrats going back as far as anyone knows. But when we realized that they were impeaching Trump after he already lost the election, my dad said “Jesus, they really ARE just out to get him! And we left the Democrat party the in the following days and became independent!

Why were there more cameras than cops? Why did Nancy Pelosi reject Trump's offer to bring in the National Guard to protect the capitol? The only person that was killed was an un-armed white woman at the hands of a moronic black cop. The same cop that once forgot his Glock in the bathroom at the capitol. How exactly does a cop forget his gun in the bathroom? Could he have been handpicked for his ineptness?

Not a single person on this site or any other site can explain how this "plan" could have worked. It wouldn't work and it couldn't work. It was a poorly staged event, and the Dems believed it. If Trump wanted to overthrow the government, he wouldn't have picked the three stooges to pull it off.

Isn't it amazing that not a single politician was harmed? What are the odds of that? I hope the Republicans take the house and senate and impeach Joe and Kamala. The Dems have proven you don't need a reason to impeach, you just need the votes.

I mean…. it sure wouldn’t have happened without his influence and his false claims of fraud. Like all sixty-something court cases got laughed out of the courtroom, now we have under-oath testimony from Trump administration official after Trump administration official that he was told over and over again that he lost straight up, and Trump would just flip out at them for not having his back vs reality. I’ve honestly just never seen anything like this, this level of blind and impassioned loyalty for ONE MAN, who in my very disinterested-in-politics-period opinion, is the most obvious con artist I’ve ever seen in my life, like I can’t believe people are falling for what he says. It’s not even that I disagree with what he says (although I generally do), it’s just that it’s so absolutely preposterous that I can’t believe people believe it, simply because that’s what they want to hear. It’s more of a commentary on the human psyche to me, really. I mean, we’re all going to bicker over political shit until one these asteroids doesn’t keep on missing us, but this era of Trump has just been absolutely bananas to observe, and that’s coming from a guy who you couldn’t have paid to pay attention to politics pre-2015. I wouldn’t love a President DeSantis either, but christ, at least switch up the candidate so you look less like rabid lunatics who want a dictator but one who only who targets the people you don’t like. Honestly very alarming how much people are swept up in Trumpism.

I didn't him in the video footage inside the capital, nor did I see him scale the outer walls to symbolic sack Rome. You know who I did see? I saw BLM members... I saw ANTIFA members... No, democrats refused to let Trump bring in the National Guard and they purposely left the doors open and even escorted the protesters inside. Trump told he crowd to march "peacefully and patriotically to the capitol and let your voices be heard" I guarantee that video will not be shown during tonite's spectacle.

What attack? There wasn't any attack. The police let Trump supporters in and they politely stayed between the ropes, took, photos, and left. There were a few FBI instigators planted by the Democrats but how could that be Trump's fault.

That's what the committee is trying to prove. Did he have a hand in it, yes. Did he have the ability and power to stop it before he did, yes. Does it seem to have been planned well in advance, yes. Do I know enough about everything that happened leading up to it, no. I've only seen 90 minutes of the investigation on it. FYI, that's how long the televised hearing has gone on for. Ask after 10 am CDT on Monday and I'll know more.

No, it was an FBI plot. Why did the cops let protesters go in in some areas like they were security at a stadium? Why were the two people who instigated the violence on camera not even questioned for over a year? While others languished in jail without even a hearing?
