Aly wasn’t around in 90s before social media to see how much more severe the super waif thin Hollywood ideal was among young women. There have been and still are many contributing factors towards women having their bodies and developing eating disorders. Regardless, this chick is heavy on some “women get off social media” agenda that i wouldn’t consider particularly healthy either.
I believe eating disorders are caused by a lack of social bonding and spiritual love and not by being exposed to beautiful or preferred models online because somebody who is well cared for inside will not have eating disorders due to the fact, they do not overly personalize visual attention from men or women.
Eating disorders existed before social media. However Social media does contribute no doubt so yes it does drive young women to them. Same can be said for models.
No- I believe women's susceptibility to peer pressure causes them to engage in eating disorders. They simply care more about what people think.

Haven't watched the video, will probably watch it later tho. My opinion the question in the title is yes. Why? Because I grew up in the perfect time to experience all this bs. The worse is social media doesn't only influence in eating habits, but also gives identity issues. Youtube algorithm recommended me eugenia cooney when I watched only diy room decor, baking vids, recipes, crafting vids, and normal stuff from youtubers like Bethany Mota. And out of the sudden recommended me transgender videos in 2015, when I'd never searched anything related to that. It's sick, I'll never let my kids use this kind of platforms (at least not without supervision) till I know they're strong and centered enough to don't lose themselves.
No because broads were saying this in the 90s and early 2000s.
Broads wanna compete with other broads for attention.

Digital devices are destroying the human brain. On/Off, Yes/No, Love/Hate, Best/Worst. Nothing in the middle.
