Has anyone ever wrongfully accused you of being gay before?

Of the eight teachers at my workplace, all of them are 30 or older, and either married, or soon-to-be married, and only me and another teacher are not really good looking. Today, the head teacher told me how he's excited for the weekend, cause he works all week and will finally get to spend time with his wife and maybe go to the lake. I remarked to him, "Oh, normal people stuff?" He raised an eyebrow and say, "Oh! I didn't know you were..." I knew what he assumed. "No, I'm not gay! I meant how I'll never have a wife, a partner, kids, or any of that stuff, cause I'm short, fat, and ugly. Obviously!" (Although we still have to wear masks here, so maybe he's never seen my full face before.) But he thought 'normal stuff' was 'straight people stuff' and not 'non-ugly people' stuff.

Has anyone ever mistakenly assumed you were gay before?
