I'm Catholic and I think this is blatant discrimination that needs to be changed ASAP. It's like racism because it discriminates. What if they had a law that no black or Jew could be king or queen? Are you as outraged as I am?

The difficulty with hereditary monarchies, is the notorious difficulty of any outsiders what does that be religious, racial, class, or political affiliation outsiders breaking into the royal family without killing off their competition. See Richard III for example.

I don't care, and probably won't matter as much, as the title for Queen and King aren't given away every 4 years like prime minister or president.

So If you want to become King you have a shitton of hurdles to clear,

first you have to be born in a royal family (any royal family will do),

marry someone from the English royal family, or be the first born son of the British royal family

Wait till your mother/father, grandmother/grandfather, greatgrandmother/greatgrandfather,... die

Wait some more till more people of your family die.

You may become King or Queen of England at the age of 70... and in this case you had plenty of time to change your religion.

And just the first step excludes 99.9999% of the population from being king or queen.

But of course race isn't a real thing anyway and is a relatively modern idea.
