Do you think the censoring of male's complaints and issues by social media companies is bad for society?

So Pearl Davis got her tiktok taken down. For those that don't know her, she is a MRA that confront women about their hypocrisy and contribution to the destruction of male/female relationship. She even invite both men and women on her podcast to debate social issues and uses statistical data to shut down some of the false narratives in society when it comes to men and women.

Logically, her criticism has resulted in other women trying to attack her on the streets and now their going after her social media by cancelling her. And the sad thing is these big name social media companies are ok with shutting down any view that goes against the narrative that "men bad, men are liars and cheater, men only want sex" that we see so many females say over and over on social media.

Do you find it right that a feminist can make sexist comments about men on social media but if any are made towards women it often gets shut down?

I think sexism in general shouldn't be encouraged, for either side. Also, for the record, there's a difference between understanding how men and women are scientifically different, and being a sexist asshole. The most noticeable difference is assuming the other sex is inferior because you don't understand them.

Also, I think the reason for more censorship of the right is because, in places where they're allowed to express themselves, far rightists are kind of terrifying. They tend to encourage hurting others and dehumanizing them. While the far left does the same, far leftists tend to be cowardly. It's hard to take them seriously when the worst they'll most often do is throw a tantrum about not being referred to as "bugself". That's why I think rightist stuff is more censored, though I personally don't have a specific political or social leaning.

Social networks have terms of service. Obey TOS, and there are no issues. Break TOS and deal with the consequences. My twitter account was censored a month ago.

Their terms of service are unconstitutional. You have a RIGHT to freedom of speech and press in the U. S. Even the way this site operates is unconstitutional. I get censored on GAG almost as often as twitter or Youtube. Youtube banned my account and won't let me make a new one, because I explained how a rational and loving God could nevertheless allow the Holocaust. For making that post, the Youtube admins permanently banned my account and evidently IP banned me. I can't even get half their videos to play on my computer anymore.

By the way, that's actually illegal in the U. S. too, ever since Texas passed a law making it ILLEGAL to delete and ban anyone due to religious beliefs. *ahem* GAG moderators.

If twitter was taking some government subsidy, that would be one thing.

But they are not.

You're wrong. Under the Commerce Clause and Establishment clauses, the government can confiscate and break up ANY corporation that crosses a body of water or State Lines. That's how they broke up Bell South and AT&T one time. You're too young to remember that. You probably aren't telling the truth about your age.

The FEderal Goverment has the Constitutional power to confiscate all of Facebook and Youtube's assets and close them down completely if they want to do so, because their entire business model is "interstate commerce" . We have AT&T and Bell South as historical precedents..

@Wade12345 Wrong everyone knows that clause cannot be used to regulate a private business. That is basically communism. Every business has the same rights as an individual. You cannot seize property just because you dislike their business policy.

And we broke up ATT because it was a monopoly. Twitter is by no means a monopoly. There are dozens of social networks. All of varying successes.

Wrong again. They can force you to sell your HOUSE just to make a road, such as an interstate highway. f you turn down their bid they can simply kick you off the property. They did it back when they made the interstate highway system. The Commerce Clause and Establishment Clause allows that too.

You want to penalize companies over their business practices. And the point there is, it is because of your political views. And not anything to do with freedom of speech. Even freedom of speech in a public place has limitations.

Except no logical person can think it's right to deny 1 gender a chance to give their side to the story and voice their complaint in dating.
