Asian countries like China, South Korea, and Japan are facing a very dramatic decline in population. So much so that the government is willing to incentivize nearly $2,000 behind each childbirth in the 2022 year (SK).

Nearly all of the people in the street interview said the following factors are majorly responsible for it.

• The rise of a sense of individualism.
• Inflation.
• High stress level.
• No matter what you make, it is never enough.
• Gender problems. Both genders get physical, and violent during fights.
• No-child zones introduced. Like cafes etc.
• Young people want to enjoy their life and primarily advance in their careers.

What do you think about these reasons and can you think of any other reasons, apart from the above?

And do you believe that this trend or this situation will spread all over the world in the coming time?

I don't know if I want to get married. As for kids sometimes I think about having them and other times I think it's a bad idea. Either way, if I ever decide to be a mother I'll adopt since I'm not in time to have my own children.

The reasons you mentioned all are valid to me. I believe that climate change and all the uncertainty that the world is facing are also logical reasons for not having babies.

I don't consider that this trend is going to spread to the rest of the world. There are still many people who have or want to have children. Also in some countries and cultures women are forced to have kids.

I want to get married, that is all I dreamed of ever since I was a little girl and I think most girls can relate to that. I wanna love and feel what it's like to be loved and having a significant other. I'm very fond of babies and kids but I'm quite undecided if I wanna have one or two of my own, and I think having a broken family plays a big role in that. my mom and dad separated when I was only 2 years old, it sucks not having two parents at one house, it's even worse for me because I am a middle child, they couldn't care less about me. Anyways, I think that fcked me up big time. So maybe I don't really wanna have kids though some people say that I do have maternal instinct and I do get along with kids very well, I guess I'm okay with just being the fun and cool aunt.

Having kids is one of the main things, if not the main thing, that I want in life. I’d love to have at least 1-2 biological kids and then adopt at least 1-2. Marriage used to be a goal and it would still be nice but I don't know if its still a priority

It really is rare for someone to be as confident as you are right now. Most of the girls I know from my engineering course have vague plans for their personal life. But their professional life is like an ironclad fix. Planned out.

I discovered that being single with no kids is best for me. Feminism / Misandry is a big cause of this worldwide problem. The trend will continue until something interferes with it. COVID helped to some extent as harsh as that might sound.
