The solar panels are so expensive that the companies making them are actually selling them in installments. And they try to justify that by saying that the price of the payments is lower than your electric bill. It's a racket.
For starters not everyone can get enough sun and it costs a fair bit of money to convert sunlight into electricity. You need to have the right equipment.
Solar panels are expensive as are the inverters and batteries (if you are going to store electricity). Also, solar potential varies drastically from area to area.

Two reasons why. One solar panels are expensive. Second they would produce enough to keep your house going.
Isn’t it more expensive if we all just keep paying for electricity monthly in the long run
I guess I will find out.
You have solar panels in your home?
No but a friend does. He says they will most likely never pay for themselves in his life time.
I plan to get it in future. Yes would be nice if electricity were free.
Labor and production have costs. Demanding things be free requires people to work without appropriate compensation, which is a form of slavery.

My question exactly? Soon they'll have us pay for the electric activities in out body 2 ... O wait they already do by charging for food
Solar panels are expensive and not most people can afford it.
My house dosent get enough sunlight for it to be worth while
Solar technology has a long way to go to be economically feasible
Free? Nothing is free - despite what Bernie says.
I'd gladly allow you to pay to have panels installed on my house.
Who said you can't do that? What's stopping you?
Because that wouldn't work in 90% of the country. Solar can not prove enough power to fulfill demand. To cloudy.
Okay, who pays for the solar panels?
What do you do when the sun is not out/unavailable?
No. Oil cost money to drill and produce energy. People have to get paid for their labor.
Because panels, etc cost money too.
Actually everything is supposed to be free

Thats communism boy! (Slap!)
