Why do people get offended if you reject their humor and refuse to apologize for their bigoted joke?

Instead of apologizing for making an offensive joke, why do people dig in their heels and blame society for being too politically correct but the moment you are not politically correct then when you are not politically correct then they get offended.

They have built their self worth around the belief that there is value in being mean spirited and trollish and so it enrages them when they encounter someone who thinks it actually makes them worthless. It is a direct blow to their ego.

I blame screens, myself. The instant gratification has trained many in the newer generations to expect any information to entertain them, to the point that information that doesn't entertain can't hold their attention. Academia is thus out of reach for many, but there is no question that an education can be a reliable cornerstone to building self worth around the idea of being a valuable member of a meaningful society.

But the people who make the entertaining content that poisons people's attention spans to academia dont want them leaving to discover its not actually that hardnif they try, and so have pushed the con that you can't actually rely on a degree for anything, educated people are all snobs, street smarts are better than book smart (which is ironic since knowing when you are being conned is a critical part of the definition of street smart). And this message is all the while pushed with mean spirited trollish wisecracks.

So, the consumers of such entertainment imagine themselves living the easy life of being such an entertainer, and because they have been so simply duped into thinking being offensive on purpose is valuable, they think it should be easy to dupe others. It insults their soul to discover they're actually just being played for a fool, people aren't as gullible as they have been tricked into believing, and they've wasted their life on a hate addiction, propping up their dealer, instead of just trying to be a decent person.

Because digging their heels works sadly. Thats why people act like you for example can't be racist against white people :/ Same reason people who complains about people using the acronym SJW and says the acronym is just a boogyman always fails to include people who self-identify as SJWs.

They get upset and blame others because they are to sensitive to look at their issues as the real problem.

So they get all sad run around crying to everyone who will listen about how sad you made them for calling them out for being rude.

And claim you are a sensitive baby but truth is, they could handle criticism.
