How do you handle really bad news?

We just found out some real terrible news. And it something that can shock entire family

What ever the news were! I hope you all stick together no matter how hard it is. I know it's just words, but the close ones are all what you need in such times. What i do! I usual just feel down, real long face for hours and especially if i lose someone dear to me, i am not holding back my tears. Reading a book, playing some video games, a work out, being at the garden, take a long walk, all helps to take my mind of or make me focus on being there for the rest of the family.

It depends on what else is going on; if other emergency things are happening in parallel. I take care of those things; I only broke down after I had some downtime.

I don't know. It really has to do with how you handle the situation.

For me crying with my partner or roommate helps me. We work through my pain and they try to help me feel bettwr anyway i need.

Dispassionately. I’m actually an empath (more emotionally tuned) but I wall it off to not deal with it. My mother is also very much an empath and doesn’t wall it off…probably my problem :)
