Sure whatever, same reason I'm against those players who kneel while on the job. They can kneel all they want off the job, but not while being paid for a game. Anything that distracts from the job can lead to termination.
SO if the employer wants to fire someone and is willing to pay to hire someone else (good freaking luck so many open positions) and then train them, that is on them. With the current labor market it make take them a few years.
Much like how many companies are not doing drug testing anymore, because they can't even find employees.

Their choice to do it or not. Political speech is not protected at work, especially if you face customers.
Approved. Don’t bring politics into your job. Politics is not a life or death situation and jobs are allowed to make their own rules.
@kaymay personally, I don’t know that story but in order to be taken seriously in life when demanding change, you need to bring facts and not just personal opinion. That’s why political extremists are mentally insane (you) because you only argue with opinions. You don’t even know my political stance and I haven’t even voiced it once.
If that was the sole reason, then I disapprove. Unless they wore it somewhere inappropriate. Like they were a soldier wearing it while on duty or a poll counter wearing it during their shift or something. There are certain jobs and places where showing any kind of political affiliation is either inappropriate or illegal.
If I work for someone, they are buying my time and image. Therefore, in the Workplace they can expect me to dress to their business standard WITHOUT expressing my personal views on their customers! Outside of work, the have NO CONTROL over my dress or personal views.
Thank you for MHG!

They should have simply told him it was inappropriate for work. If he continued to wear it then fair enough fire him.
It's not just a case of politics, the maga cap is a hate symbol akin to wearing a swastika. Not only would it raise tensions at work an employee may have to deal with all sorts of customers of varying races, ethnicities, religion, sexuality etc.
Fine by it. We have a dress code, nothing supporting violence, drugs or controversial social opinion is to be visibly worn. My boss voted for Trump, and still said wearing Maga shit will get someone suspended or fired if they keep it up.
Leave politics at home. You are there to work.
Politics are unrelated to work environment. So I advocate to keep ''activism'' out of that area.
For fairness: before it comes to 'firing' someone, I'd just make it a public policy within my company (if I had one, that is :) )
The employer is an idiot. Now had that been a BLM hat, the ACLU would be all over that employer like a chicken on a June bug.
Disapprove of firing just because of that, but I would be on the lookout for other reasons that they were interfering with getting work done.
Fantastic! That's the stupid self selecting out of the work force
I disapprove of them firing him if thats the sole reason. But for the sake of equality, I take it those who approve of it also would approve companies for firing people for wearing for example pro BLM clothes.
The employer is more than welcome to apply a dress code. I don't have an issue with it as long as they do the same to people supporting the other side.
Well unless they were already on thin ice I think it's petty. But completely withing thier rights.
Maybe so - a warning would have been better.
He should sue for $100,000,000
Silly billy.
