What would you say matters more, ambition or intelligence?

I was in the gifted program in high school and I know plenty of smart people who ended up with dead end careers or relationships and I know normal intelligence people or uneducated people who made millions due to a hard work habit and a strong sense of humility and modesty.

Grit matters more

Intelligence is the biggest necessity

Popularity matters more

Confidence and audacity matter more

Of the four you listed, intelligence takes last place. Drive is the most important thing. Personality (people person) is very important also, especially in some professions.

It doesn't matter what you have nearly as much as what you do with it. That counts for intelligence and skill both. Someone with an IQ of 90 but is driven and works hard will run circles around someone with an IQ of 150 who doesn't put in much effort.

I'd say it depends. You need to be smart enough to that you're not that smart and will always need to work with people. that's where popularity comes in but I would say it's more important to know who to befriend and how to socialize properly. I guess drive matters a lot too otherwise you won't have the motivation to learn anything, not even the other things mentioned.

For what exactly? Because the answer depends.

For wealth? Neither you just have to be lucky enough to be born into a wealthy family or be very well connected and spectacular money management skills.
