What does the word “transgender” actually mean?

So, the whole argument is that sex and gender are two different things, that gender has nothing to do with sex. Trans is a latin phrase for “on the other side of; beyond.”

So… how are you transgender if sex isn’t the same thing? If gender is a social construct…. and not connected to sex, then identify what you want, but you’re not trans.

The word itself “transgender” is admission sex and gender are the same.

Gender is the sex you, yourself identify as. Not saying it has nothing to do with sex. It's a mindset

Before the understanding of gender they used to call them transsexuals which is wrong. Now you are actually claiming a man actually changed to the opposite sex.

When you say transgender you are saying the person identifies as the opposite sex that they are.

Meaning that person either believes they are the opposite sex, or feels better as the opposite sex and would like to be seen as the opposite sex.

So yes transgender is the proper term for someone who identifies as the opposite sex.

Don't transgender people believe that there are various genders? With how you put it, it kinda conflicts with some of their beliefs. Gender fluid is kinda the opposite of both man-woman genders.

Again, not attacking, but a criticism. If it's a mindset, couldn't we argue that the legitimacy of gender identity would be weakened since it could be influenced by other people. Think of it the same way as false memories, or worse yet, implanted memories.

So yes that is possible.

Not everything is a conspiracy. Not everything is a plot.
But just like everything there will be extremely crazy and disturbed people that take it too far.

I thought that the trans in transsexual is transition.
Based on that my belief is that people who call themselves as trans were a weak bunch who are too afraid to transition to , and just call themselves trans for the clout.
