  @APrettyLittleLady87 that's the point I'm making. What I'm saying is, if all this happens, what will the man be charged with or arrested for? Approaching me or raping me? Which crime is worse? Having done the approaching or having committed the rape?
  
  If approaching a woman is considered a crime in itself, how is it enforced? Or is it just another charge on top of the other one? Because approaching isn't actually an offence. Not in my book. It's what happens after the approaching that's the crime. And that crime is what will be the charge. No?

  @APrettyLittleLady87 also, I just thought of this. It may not be foolproof but about the being jumped from behind thing... that's where self-defense, taking up a martial art would be good. Or having a weapon. Not every attack ends in a rape. Attempted, sure.
