Approaching woman on the street will soon be an offence and could land you in jail for two years. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-63916328
The bill also in includes making walking behind a woman a criminal offence.
The idea of course is to kerb the problem of sexual harassment but are we going to see jails full of guys who just said "good morning"
Jesus... That's it. England is done. Fuck it. Nuke it or wall it off from the rest of the world. Quarantine the stupidity with malicious force. They've gone full retard and completely woke. As if most British men weren't useless manginas and soy boys, to begin with.
Man, let this be a lesson to the rest of the world and especially the US and why the First and Second Amendment is so damn important. THIS is what wokeness does to a society. Turns you into a real-life fucking Children of Men society of gay people and feminists. England about to beat China's depopulation record, in record time! That's not including all the male-led suicides, of course.
In the US, we'd shout at the idiots trying to ban masculinity, and shoot the ones who'd get in our way. The US will never get this bad, for as long as people uphold The Constitution, and shoot anyone who tries to obstruct it.
Jesus, your country is a fucking shithole! I mean, I know the US has Joe Biden and all, but do ANY men still have any fucking balls left in that shitty rainy country or what? That's probably the most depressing news I've read all week. Your country quite LITERALLY fucking made male heterosexuality illegal! And I thought not nuking China was a waste of a good bomb.
Well hope you British lasses are gonna be happy now that all the men are dead. You guys let your leaders literally ban straight men, as a species. What the FUCK are you guys doing over there? God, this shit is DEPRESSING. I'm not even joking.

Not inheriently a completely awful idea but I have absolutely no faith whatsoever that this can be implemented in way that makes any sense.
You have to bear in mind that the people making policy are incapable of pissing in a straight line.
The biggest problem is establishing the protocol for overtaking a female pedestrian because I have found myself in this uncomfortable situation on a number of occassions where I have been walking faster than a woman down a road without really being aware of them until I start to get closer to them and I am then in this awkward situation where I don't know how to get past them because although I am going faster than them, I am not going so much faster that I can just get past them and be on my way in a short time frame, so what am I supposed to do?
Do I run past them?
Do stop and wait for them to make progress and then walk slower?
Do I say something?
I can't quite recall exactly what I have done at these times but I think I have said something so that they stop and let me go past and other times I have crossed the road so that I am on the other side and then walked uncomfortably quickly to get ahead of them sooner.
This is already plenty bad enough without there being criminal charges involved.
If you are going to criminalise this shit then there is going to have to be some system where slower moving females are required to pull over and let faster walkers to pass.
It is stupid, especially the parts that I consider freedom of speech, those should not be a crime.
Simply approaching shouldn't be an issue, as long as they respect it and do not block the path or follow, if no interest is shown.
What the article says they are criminalizing is;
1. Deliberately walking closely behind someone as they walk home at night -- I consider this stalking and should be a crime.
2. Making obscene or aggressive comments towards a person - I see this as Freedom of speech
3. Making obscene or offensive gestures towards a person - I consider this freedom of speech
4. Obstructing a person's path - Should be considered a crime, here it is... it is called unlawful detainment.
5. Driving or riding a vehicle slowly near to a person making a journey - Different form of stalking.
If simply approaching to talk is how they end up enforcing it, I expect everyone to not talk to anyone on the street.
That's... a little extreme. I think it's fine for a man or woman to approach each other to introduce themselves or see if they are interested in a date. Once the person declines or makes it clear they don't want to be bothered any longer and person keeps pressing them to engage with them, then yeah I can see that being a problem. But other than that, just seems weird and silly. Its like that guy who tried to ban staring/eye contact at his bar.. I think it will flop and no one will really care to follow it. How do you ban approaching someone? Is nobody gonna be able to approach anybody?

This is completely INACCURATE! The UK is contemplating introducing legislation to deal with so called street harassment, it's NOT simply about approaching a woman on the street- which would be a ridiculous and impractical state of affairs. That said, my advice to any men is to actively avoid ANY interactions with women. Do not talk to them, do not look at them, do not assist them under any circumstances. Women have been lecturing men for the past 50 years about how, 'strong and independent' they are and how they, 'Don't need men.' Increasingly, men perceive women as a 'RISK.' Women can and have made false allegations against men. Ergo, sensible men will just avoid women altogether, thereby protecting themselves from the potential of a false allegation of some sort.
At one time, if a male motorist observed a female stranded at the side of the road with a flat tyre, they would assist. Not anymore! Strong independent women can look after themselves, and most men appreciate the obvious RISK of stopping to assist. I would never help a woman under such a circumstance, they can either fix it themselves, or call a professional roadside assistance organisation. I would never place myself in a situation whereby a woman could make a bogus allegation against me.
I'm very happy for women to be strong and independent, that's great! I reserve the right to have nothing at all to do with them, that way I am protected.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
What starts as an idea to curb sexual harassment can end up putting thousands of innocent men in jail. They didn't put any thought in the bill, and just decided to do as they please. It's absolute clown world behavior.
How about maybe increase surveillance? How about add more specific criteria? The problem with such laws is that they're trying to put a bandage into an infected wound, not only will this not solve anything, but it will create more problems.
Just when you think things couldn't get any more crazy lol
I understand the objective- to help women feel more comfortable, but what does this do to men? Are we second class citizens, who aren't suppose to speak unless we're spoken to? How long until looking at a woman becomes illegal, in order to combat making women feel uncomfortable? What about asking women on dates? Should we not be permitted to do that, as it puts pressure on a woman to say yes? Are we no longer able to have sex in certain positions? Are we allowed to drink with them, past say 2 drinks?
The only reason why this came about is due to the mass of "refugees" and other such uneducated people that have arrived in the UK in recent years. The same reason why the German police last year were advising any blonde women to dye their hair black to avoid being singled out. The same reason why the rape statistics in countries like Sweden, with hundreds to thousands of "refugees", have skyrocketed in recent years.
Such a law would not be considered 5 years ago. It wouldn't have been a dream law.
But the UK has had a considerable number of "refugees' from various countries - not to mention previous "refugees" that settled there (predominantly on welfare) & their offspring - who still have little respect for the British lifestyle or British people. Go to cities like London in certain areas and you are smarter to shoot yourself in the head than walk down the street after dark as a white person (as a woman or a man).
Prolly good overall. I don't think anyone would press charges for someone who just wanted to say hi. All you have to do is say sorry and walk away if someone does get scared or uncomfortable by you. As long as you do normal shit, not actual creepy shit like cornering women or following them around or asking her personal info randomly. I've accidentally scared women on the street or on a bus before it's not that big of a deal if you just apologize and stop. Although I am young and short and white. So people don't as much see me as a threat to women compared to some other guys, even though I am likely worse than average..
The article says, "Catcalling, following someone and blocking their path will be criminalised in England.
The backbencher's bill aims to criminalise:
Deliberately walking closely behind someone as they walk home at night
Making obscene or aggressive comments towards a person
Making obscene or offensive gestures towards a person
Obstructing a person's path
Driving or riding a vehicle slowly near to a person making a journey".I don't see where it says approaching a woman on the street will be an offence.
I can't (won't) opine on the merits of this but it sounds first like a solution searching for a problem; it sounds like MPs who don't have enough to do; and it sounds like an enforcement nightmare to say nothing of clogging up the dock with frivolous cases.
How is this law helpful?
Not judging about it but that surely could lead to rise of prison inmates in the UK. But besides I am a guy and I avoid many small streets where there is no light as well at night.
When do people realise that guys, too avoid being at night in risky places? It´s not that only rapists are at night that have bad stuff in mind.
It will probably also lead to dating moving totally online. But that´s happening anyways.
The fact that you feel the need to lie about what's actually being criminalized in the bill in order to get people to think it's crazy just proves that you know it's actually a decent bill. The article you linked clearly states what is being criminalized:
- Deliberately walking closely behind someone as they walk home at night
- Making obscene or aggressive comments towards a person
- Making obscene or offensive gestures towards a person
- Obstructing a person's path
- Driving or riding a vehicle slowly near to a person making a journey
And you are just outright lying to make it sound like no one is allowed to approach a woman or happen to be walking behind her. I have to believe you're a guy pretending to be a woman.I thought it was already a crime in the UK. Let the feminist further push men away while the "foreign guests" (being PC here) continue to do as they like.
The more women push men to be more like women, the more women will be disgusted by men.
Do they not already have laws in England to protect women on the street from getting harrassed, raped, and molested? Seems to me like they don't have enough cops patrolling the streets. Perhaps it's a policing problem. If so, then another law that won't be enforced isn't gonna solve anything. And the odd time it is you'll end up with men in jail that shouldn't be there. Catcalling is not worthy of jail time.
Bad. Rather than dealing with the specific problem cultures or individuals, they address behavior. And they aren't even thinking about how to train good behavior.
I see same patterns of thinking in my country. Unbelievably stupid... it's fear of reprisal..
First, this proposed law is not at all what you have characterized it to be! The law would criminalize blocking a woman’s path and not letting her pass, catcalling, and deliberately following a woman home, NOT walking behind her! If you believe that makes it illegal to politely ask a woman out, you are VERY paranoid!
that being said, I doubt the implementation of the law will go as planned! Regulating human behavior never works out well!Oh this will go well, It is going to devolve into 'She said - He said' as there will be no proof physical proof that any 'offence' has been committed, but if police are called to any 'offence' undoubtedly they will arrest the man under the logic of the 'Duluth Model' model training they have been inculcated with that insists that men are always the 'aggressor' and women must always be believed even with evidence to the contrary. If this becomes Law, I can see a rocket in the sales of body cams, and men avoiding women where at all possible, sitting as far away from them as possible on public transport, no more offers of help, holding of doors, the list is endless.
Meanwhile, the cops don't do shit about the 12 year old Romanians you're smuggling into the country. I wonder if there's a connection there. Maybe if British women weren't such prudes, the guys wouldn't need to train adolescent sex slaves.
London isn't majority white now. Muslims are 70 times more likely to commit a rape. Poppy this is the Multiculturalism you have been defending and these types of measures now need to be considered when rape cultures are introduced to a previously more functional society. Now that England is so brown do you have any suggestions on how to reverse something like this?
So the guy who came up to nab a chip of me will get arrested next year for doing it? Thanks for knocking any chances of boosting my confidence. There should be a line drawn across
I oppose any law that genders criminal offenses. This is creating a second class citizen, a man must mot speak inless spiken to, must not follow behind a woman.
So by this law a man may not walk on a crowded street, may not interact with a woman for any reason and has no recourse if he is the victim of an unwanted sexual advance.
This can also be used as leverage, threat of jail time if he doesn't... pay for her coffee, or worse.I’m pretty sure they’re not going to make approaching women a crime, walking behind a woman a crime also that’s just pathetic.
Say she’s in front and he’s behind her, there’s a river one side and a road the other what’s he going to do? Jump in the river or jump in front of a bus? People take everything out of context nowadays and twist it all about.
