This is a case of extenuating circumstance. I think the law has to be enforced, but at the same time the system needs to take into account the circumstances. They also need to consider whether this is a hardened criminal who is a danger to society. Or if he is a normal person who found himself in circumstances that nobody else could possibly know how they'd react in they were in his shoes.

He did society a favor. I am not against vigilantism in some circumstances. However, the law can't simply say it's OK to do this. But the law CAN consider the circumstances. I don't know how much difference extenuating circumstances make, but I think it does affect the case and sentencing.

I simultaneously think that the law needs to be enforced (to a minimal degree) and wish there were more people like this guy. People involved with the forced sex trade or any kind of human trafficking are some of the lowest scum of the planet.

The guy he killed did far worse than the killer. It was a net gain for society.

There are two stories. One story is the boyfriend sold the daughter into a sex trafficking ring and this is very unlikely because if the boyfriend did this, rescuing her and finding her would be near impossible. The second possibility is the dad did not want his daughter dating a disabled guy with a criminal record so he tortured him and killed him. Its also possible the dad did not care about the criminal record and killed him because he did not want his daughter to date a disabled guy. Or maybe the dad tortured the boyfriend to scare him away from his daughter but when the boyfriend told the dad he would call the police on him for hurting him, the dad killed him to destroy evidence of his assault and escape a jail sentence.

Wow, if that's true, I'd say yes go to jail... to make a speech to anyone who wants to sell a human being like that, they will get the same treatment or worse.

Then have him leave jail and visit schools. Also, have him do a fly over UAE while he's at it and drop leaflets so all the human slaves down there know there's someone who might protect them... maybe.

Also he should receive the Royal Familie's Legion of Merit award, with gold emblem.

From my perspective yes because in my opinion the state has the privilege of speaking justice and not me. I can understand why he did that though and I don´t want to defend the guy that sold his girlfriend but I don´t think that self-justice is the way to go because that would sooner or later lead into anarchy where everybody just does what he or she sees as justified and I don´t want them.
For me it would be a bit different if the father shot him in confrontation of an argument because that would be self defence. But in this father did is murder to me and I think it´s fair to put him on trial.

Nope I'd gladly do they same but make his death much more painful stabbing is to fast, in court their is a way to find some guilty but not punish him if I'm not mistaken a guy back in day the days of prohibition got sent to jail 4 selling beer his wife left him took all his cash then he killed her when he got out, he was found guilty but no punishment

Welcome to the "justice" system. He did their job for them because the police are so fking useless, and gets sent to jail for it. Great guy, I would have done the same.
