No anonymous opinions, you own what you say. If you come in with bullshit you will get bullshit.
It's an attempt to insert politics into every school subject and indoctrinate students. It's part of the woke left's broader social engineering agenda.
My question is, can the results of the test be used to profile students by rating their level of "racism"?
I think this is divisive and dangerous. Fuck wokeness.

Of course not. If you're going to teach Critical Race Theory do it honestly. Don't try to sneak it in by the back door.

First maths is being taught.
Second some basic visualization of data is being taught.
Third it is possible using basic bar charts to interpret data might be also being taught. Dunno about that - I am not aware of US education levels.
My major point is the kiddies should first understand what a bar chart is representing. If the data has some emotional context in it i would expect some children to react to that in different ways.
What i would want is for the little kiddies to immediately drop their eyes to the intersect of the axes and check if the intersect is zero. It is quite easy to produce a biased chart by using a non zero intersect. Stock prices typically do so - a graph might show an alarming drop but on a zero intersect look quite minor but a zero intersect is biased as well. If you are wanting to teach kiddies on interpreting graphs you should show them a series of graphs say one for last week, one for last month, one for last year etc.
It is better if it is an unemotive topic if you are teaching interpretation of graphs.
If it is an emotive topic such as racial biases categorized as say minor, bit more than minor, significant, major than the interpretation involves understanding how the data was classified.
Minor might be quite trivial. Bit more than minor might be very little different. Some might think significant is still pretty minor others not.
The problem here is stock prices is relatively unemotional whereas racial biases can be highly emotional. In the later case you are not really teaching data visualization and interpretation. and it is a maths subject
I don't know, that one example may not be the best idea. Did anyone ask the students, their educators? Why weren't the panel members provided the materials in advance so that they could be prepared?
I'd rather educators were making the choices than politicians, especially politicians who write guidelines called things like "Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking".
Social–emotional learning has a fifty year history and appears to be successful in increasing empathy and educational attainment among students. No wonder Forida politicians don't like it.
I don't know how many textbooks Florida rejected, I'm guessing 25 out of 61 (closest I can easily find to 41%). Do you think he came up with the least controversial for his example, or the most?
The horrors of being expected to disagree respectfully!
Here's the bar graph they're talking about in the video:

I don't see why this needs to be in a math book. It's easy to say "it's just math". But it's obvious the purpose is not math, but a political statement.
You can apply math to almost anything. So you can place any political agenda in a book, call it math, then act all innocent. Sorry, I'm not buying it.
To make it clear. If Florida banned this book, I agree with it. As far as I'm concerned the publisher should be banned for some period for allow such BS to be published in their book.
Politics should be left completely out of it. Anyone who claims it's just math is making excuses.
Math should not include any politics or social items. If we're going to allow CRT topics in math classes, then let's also include word problems like this...
John had sex with 27 women last year and 35 women this year. If this is a mathematical progression, how many women will he have sex with next year, and what is the probability thar he will get an STD if he doesn't use a condom?
Let's keep math as math!
Did a black man just say he doesn't like racial wokeness in math books? He is a racist. And that woman agreeing with him should be discussed in all science textbooks published from now on.
If you are failing maths then you are failing regardless. I mean imagine you passed a maths degree or engineering degree because of woke equity nonsense.
maths should be used to learn maths. not to be indoctrinated with political ideologies and views.
Let me do my math in peace.
