I hope these images explain it well because I think they explained it better than I could.
This graphic is a guide for writing fictional characters, not for aligning real sentient beings. Real people are complex, and the society we’ve created is more so. Such overly simple value systems do not apply realistically.
The first commenter’s point about “case by case basis” is pointed in the right direction, but they didn’t conclude the rationale. Everyone assigns different values to different people and different rules. For example, some people are more important to me than most rules. Most rules are more important to me than most people because i value myself more than others. The rules i would break for the benefit of myself or someone i love might not be the same rules you or someone else would break. The reasons we might break any rules might differ a great deal as well. If you start from a perspective that resists absolutes and generalizations, you can’t not see the silliness of people trying to align themselves and others with this information.
There is irony in the various vibrant colors used on the top graphic, because it’s actually conveying concepts that include metric f*ck tons of “grey area”. Ell oh ell!

I've always been True Neutral. At least, in my adult life. I used to be Lawful Good as a teenager, but then realized most human beings are Neutral Good at best.
I'm a True Neutral but not for the reasons stated in the images. Might be because I'm a sociopath. Might be because rules work sometimes, but not for everything. Might be because some people are so destructive, they don't deserve to live and I don't pretend to believe otherwise. I dunno. I try my best to be Neutral Good in life, but then I'm reminded that most people SUCK and aren't 'good' themselves, but sure do like to pretend to be.
And I disagree with the second image; that's a stupid oversimplification of things.

Chaotic good or chaotic neutral. Tendency towards good I would say.

These definitions don't really make sense to me so I will just say I would kill for someone, and would kill for moral reasons and I would be lying if I said it wouldn't give me pleasure as well.
Can you post some instructions, on how to do this? Because this is so confusing, especially the terminology. What the hell does "Lawful Good" and "Chatotic Good" mean?
I'm basically orange, according to this "chart".
Any time there are two parameters running along the same axis on a chart, I get the impression that something just isn't right, though.

morals are subjective... so it would depend from your point of view, or mine...
