I've heard of people talking about how there white or a white racial identity but I feel like its a minority of white people that actually identify with there race. I think thats more of a racial minority thing. I think that in the past white people identified with there race and ethnicity, but not really anymore. I mean like italian, irish, german, kinda thing. Some ethnicities favored with privileges and some oppressed. American culture had a lot of "white racial" cultural elements at its root, lets not lie.
Some people have a racial identity and will talk about how its important to them and stuff and some white people will be like im a white guy or this is a white thing and tehre not joking and of course there's a lot of people that just say that to be funny or a joke
and there's some white supremacist and racist and alt right people that have white racial identity but thats a minority of people
this question wasn't to attack racial minorities or white people and I dont think its wrong to have or not have a racial identity necessarily

If you think people in Europe care about all of them being white, check out the Irish vs UK battles, French vs Germans, French vs the English, and every individual Balkan country against all other Balkan countries. Just because 2 groups are white doesn't mean they don't wanna genocide each other.
I know there is ethnic tension and thats what i was refering to. i am german and people used to discriminate germans. germans were put into ghettos in the 30s and 40s
The whole identy built based on ethnic is mostly an American thing.
Here in germany i never met a single person who is loudly proclaiming his ethnic identity.
You got nazis who take pride in being german or other nationalities, but i would say this is a different thing.
hey man im german and im not a nazi and not all americans identify with there ethnic as a big part of there idenity
The most racially centered people in USA are as follows.
1. Blacks
2. Whites
3. Asians
4. Hispanics
5. Native Americans
6. Indians
7. All else don’t care
i dont hear white people talk much about being white, i think we just do diluted forms of past traditions
