I don't dislike an independent woman. I dislike a whore of a woman. I think there's a difference. Like my high school valedictorian is a genetics engineer now. She's married of course, but she's the bread winner.

They are afraid that if a woman has a choice, she will leave. They feel more comfortable when their partner is financially dependent on them. Then they can behave badly without consequences.

There are several reasons to don't like it:

- A lot of them are feminists

- Its pushed by SJWs

- Maybe the guy prefer girls who depends on guys

- The more independent women get the higher their standards get and they are even less likely to say yes when normal guys ask them out

- Its a boring trope in movies that has gotten just as stale as mr perfect action hero like Jack Bauer.

I'm not denying you or any individual might have been traumatized by years of mistreatment, but there is no way modern women on a social level has, unless you live somewhere like Saudi Arabia. Women has had equal rights for too long that women in general are traumatizee on a social level.

because from my observation they get very intimidated by an independent woman who can hold her own and make their own decisions and a lot of men are very needy and insecure when they look in the mirror. just saying
