I just drive something I like and its comfortable. Need to haul fish traps, my ATV, my boat, etc. so I opt for a truck.

Pretty Maserati, but I'd sell it to pay the taxes on it.
I do not. What is important is their acceleration, braking, cornering and fuel economy. And it would be nice to drive by the repair shop. So BMW, Audi and Mercedes are off my list along with the overpriced exotics.
When I was at the car dealership, the guy asked me what kind of car I wanted. I said I want the cheapest car they sell. He asked me what color I wanted. (We were in the middle of a snow storm) I told him I'll take whatever color that's closest to the door. I love my Spark.
Even if I were rich, I’d drive the kind of car that I like. I’d probably just get a new model of the vehicle I have.

I don’t, it’s a complete waist of money and sounds pretty doushe baggy to me. It’s a stupid metal box that take you from point A to B and the moment you take it off the lot it’s already only worth 3/4 of what you paid for it. Till people’s ego’s get a grip we’ll never evolve. Waisting money on an expensive car just goes to show how fragile & how little self esteem people have that they need validation this way. Material items don’t matter at the end of the day. Talk to anyone on their death bed and not one or going to say if they could change something they wish they would’ve bought the Benz over the Honda. Get real
For some, it's because they like the car. For other, it's showing off or trying to meet an expectation of others.
However I think the large majority of millionaires drive normal cars, shop at Walmart, and buy clothes from the clearance rack. They became millionaires because they didn't spend all their money on stuff they don't need. It's a habit that sticks with them.
I dont think driving a car that you like for most people showing that there rich or of high social standing, most of us car guys just drive what we like pleasing to the eyes just like a woman would be as well or we dont date them or marry them , so people my think more of themselfs but most of us Car guys or woman do not.. tell me im wrong ladies and gents.. or car guys car gals.
I buy a car because of its comfort...
I would never buy something like one of those Bugattis. And i would never buy a hipster thing like a Tesla. And of course i would never buy a cheap Chevy...
Obviously i like Mercedes :) but if i find a cheaper car with the same, or at least similar comfort and build quality i would also consider buying that.
No, that is stupid. The performance of a car and its social status does not correlate which means at some point you are going to have to buy inferior cars just because they have a higher social status which is fucking dumb.
What a car projects about someone depends who is watching.
For example, a BMW or a Mercedes certainly is a sign of wealth because they're so expensive to maintain and have limited durability. So I see a rich person but also someone who might be clueless about cars.
Whereas if I see someone with a top of the range Toyota or Honda, I see a smart rich person who knows the most efficient way to spend money on a car.
No. Id rather save money. People only respect if u. If they have something to take from u. They dont really care what u drive its just human follishness to boost their so called ego. I find it useless. Id rather save that for my medical bills or myself.
I buy cars that are affordable to me. That are efficient. And that checklist all my needs. I currently drive a Mazda 3 sport. When I'll be making more money, I'd mostly like keep it. If I'd upgrade, I would aim for a Audi. Mostly likely a used one. Or a new one and keep it till it dies.
People that drive Mercedes or BMWs usually are show offing.
I've noticed a lot of people who've made it in their career and are financially off tend to drive low to middle-end cars. It's those at the bottom who feel the need to impress with the flash.
Doctors tend to drive Volvos - as they are reliable.
But there is no real "social status" in the car you own. You can just as easily lease a car, and be flashy, doesn't make you bigger or lower.
I think it's important to drive a car if you can't get to work, school, dates, etc any other way
Uh but for social status? Ehhh.. who really cares? lmaoNope. Although there are plenty of people who think that way. I want to drive the car I think is fun to drive.
Do you know how much a Mercedes or BMW depreciates after a few years? You can't judge a book by its cover. a lot of times a millionaire drives an old beater.
I drive a pickup truck. I just like to keep it looking good.
No, I've known many millionaires
The richest one had a 10 year old pick-up and her husband's pocket watch and the poorer ones have Rolex watches and Porsches/Italian sports carsI consider practical factors only when buying a car.
No. Unless you're retired and do not need to think about money, buy a reliable vehicle and invest the rest instead.
To me personally, I it is not so important.
Our vehicle fits our current and future needs.
It is not important to me.
