Why is there so much misinformation revolving the Tennessee shooting?

i will not participate in disinformation by repeating the misinformation caused to confuse people about the Tennessee shooting. be careful of what you read and spread because a lot of the people who spread this deliberately have malice in their hearts.

The right wing has a serious problem where they can’t seem to just allow people to be different from them. I think on some level they must know that they’re the assholes in the situation, so they have to create a false narrative for WHY they oppose it. They create a pseudo-moral or pseudo-intellectual argument in an attempt to demonize whoever or whatever they oppose, in attempt to make it seem like THEY have the moral high ground, which they clearly don’t, but they just screech until you back off them. Apparently, trying to stop them from infringing on other people’s rights is a violation of THEIR rights. It doesn’t make any sense but then they just say “because God” and think that trumps any counter-arguments. I hope it’s all this thinly-veiled bullshit, anyway, like I believe it to mostly be, because the alternative explanation is that they’re literally insane.

Remember that it’s wildly offensive to use a tragedy to push a political agenda…. unless the perpetrator was trans, then it’s cool to dive right in start proposing bans immediately, that’s not “disrespectful to the victims and their families.”

Don’t judge anyone but the judgmental; only be intolerant of intolerance itself. I can’t for the life of me understand how, and more importantly, WHY that should be troublesome for anyone to live by. Live and let live. You do you, I’ll do me. However you want to put it…if we all follow the very simple principle of “mind your own business and don’t worry about what the next guy is doing”, we don’t have all this turmoil. Don’t be afraid of what you don’t understand. No one says you have to do it yourself, but if anyone else wants to engage in something, just go on about your day. The world around you is not your responsibility, all you can do is pilot your own being.

i explained what and whom. there is plenty of misinformation and disinformation (which is deliberate spreading of information) on social media everywhere. specific details aren't as important and i will not participate in the spreading of it.

If you want to stop the spread of misinformation, you need to specify what the misinformation is. Anyone who is not you or me and sees what you say is going to read the comment, say "cool story bro", and then get on with their lives. No one except trolls is going to quote you in a separate question and say "hey, Chef said this about the Tennessee shooting! Spread the word! Send it to Twitter!". And if they do, I'll remove it as spamming.
