I was born and I still currently live in Australia. I have never been to a foreign country before but I would really like to visit Italy, France and the Scandinavian countries.
I have been using this website for over 2 years now and English is my first language. I have heard before English used in the USA and Australia aren’t identical but still similar enough that an American and an Australian would not have a hard time understanding each other.
I know most users on this website are American. Did you have a hard time understanding my English?
Superb Opinion
United States. I've been to Australia and we understand each other just fine. Sure, some words have different meanings, but you quickly learn that. For example boot/bonnet is hood/trunk on a car. We have different accents too but again, easy to get used to.

I think the most problems for Americans arise when they find out the hard way that they have booked a flight to Austria! 🤭
