Do you think this is kind of a cheap cringe thing for someone who makes a lot of money to do?

I was on a trip for work, where we brought some influential people to another country to have meetings with important groups there. There usually were some snacks out for us and that one place they had a lot of chocolate and candy out. And he asked them if it was OK if he took a lot with him for his daughters or something. I mean it sounded like they were cool with it but what are they gonna tell him no? Because he technically runs a nonprofit I can see his salary, which, as of two years ago was over $300,000 a year. And meanwhile he’s talking about how now he does not need to buy any chocolates at the airport. Like dude you make so much money. You can shell out a few dollars for some chocolate. That’s really cheap.
