Why am I shunned because of my interests?

I have always been considered a Tom boy because i like archery, Axe throwing, knife throwing, and etc. But that doesn't mean i am "Unlike-able"or"Weird" or "Ugly" or even "Crazy". This is why i prefer to hang out with dudes.

You're not unique, you just know what you like. Which, to be fair, is rare in a 14 year old of any gender.

I used to think like you, and lemme tell you: guys are just as bad as girls are. Especially when you go through puberty.

Like what you like, but don't try to "not like the other girls" yourself. You know there's female axe throwers and archers, right? Like, world-class female athletes?

Maybe find better girls to hang around with. Not at school, but at axe throwing or archery leagues.

You won't make many friends with a "you're inferior because you're not like my boy friends" attitude.

I am in school and i am constantly picked on for my interests. Yes i do know that there are others like me. And if a I am being honest, you are the only one here with the attitude. I asked this question to see if there was generally something wrong with my interests. Dudes are usually nicer to me than girls.

You got me, I've never cared for axe throwing or knife throwing, but I won't knock on those who do enjoy it. Archery is the best way to go poaching, and hitting a deer with a hunting head will kill it faster and more painlessly than a rifle, especially at the short ranges you typically hunt at.

I don't know, just spend more time with people who share your hobbies and realize that you can't please everyone, or even most people. Shrug

There is nothing wrong with girls practicing those sports or with being "tomboys", for that matter. In fact, girls can do all those things and still be female as fuck.

Look at all the movies with women who can do those things. It's bad ass and sexy.

at your age, girls start to back stab as they fight for their mates... caddy, insecure but their only hope being to find a male to reproduce, they can be very unpleasant.

It may seem like a big deal right now. But it won’t last for long. Kids can be cruel and will look for any reason to poke fun at others. Also, unrelated but- don’t let people (adults especially) try to manipulate you into thinking there is something wrong with you, or that you may be trans. There is nothing wrong with being a tomboy or enjoying typical male interests as a girl. Personally I’d love a girl my age with those interests.
