Is anyone else here tired of hearing about alleged sightings of UFO's/aliens?

For some reason there seems to be a great deal more discussion about this topic lately, especially in the mainstream media. Why is that? Why the sudden increase in interest in UFO's and aliens?

There are people in the comments saying that this is all very new to them, that they haven't heard of this? Seriously? Not even those 'tic-tac' UFO's that US Navy pilots allegedly reported seeing not so long ago?
Then there was the infamous monochrome footage that supposedly shows one in the air, but which, upon closer examination, turns out to be a bird! :D

It's a red herring. All the news stories came out exactly the same in 2015, some came out when wikileaks first opened, when a government has messed up, or their mistake is going to be exposed they release this kind of stuff. I think in 2015 it was the drone bombing of civilians that came out, boom, the tic-tac drone footage, which is going around again came out.

Same with the whole gas stove debate in the US, there's probably some other nonsense debate meant to impassion people in your country as well. I just don't care right now. There is so little to do without joining one party of crazies or another, and it isn't so bad that emigrating to Vietnam or something seems good, nor is today so different than yesterday, so screw it.

I don't know what "mainstream media" you watch/listen to, but I have not heard a thing about UFO's/aliens (other than Texas gathering hispanic aliens, many with appointments with lawyers up north to discuss their asylum cases, and shipping them to California, which is kidnapping). I watch various national news networks on TV and internet. I have heard much about weather balloons and foreign spy balloons.

I completely agree, and I am equally as tired of the government covering up our contact with extra terrestrials. Maybe if we embrace these beings as allies, we can learn from them and start to make incredible progress in our own society.

You're basing your assumption that someone is "driving them" on your (totally unjustified) belief that they're craft of some kind from another planet. They're not. We may not know what many of them are, but we can safely assume they're not from outer space.

You cannot know that. If an object can suddenly stop and change direction there is a good possibility that it is propelled by a force.

If what you're seeing is an object that suddenly stops and changes direction, then what you're seeing is also likely to be nothing more than an optical illusion, because in real life any occupants of such "craft" would find themselves splattered all over the walls of their spaceship due to inertia.
