I didn't care at 1st til I realized he wasn't stopping any time soon. I got so irritated bc his music was super loud right by my back yard where I usually chill at with my toddler. I feel like it's disrespectful to play music that loud as if you want everyone to hear it, that was the main issue for me. Even I don't play my own music loud bc know everyone doesn't wanna hear it so if I do play music it's faint and just loud enough for me to hear but not echo into the neighbors yard or something. I was kinda petty and started banging a chair with my broom just so he understood how obnoxious he sounded and he kept going for a bit and stopped eventually.. was I wrong? Honest answers only lol
Superb Opinion
No, it's fine to feel that way. If you say he was drilling, my first assumption is that he was working in something and wanted to be able to hear his music. Even so, there's nothing wrong with going to him and politely saying "Hi! Would you mind turning that down a bit? I can hear it in (wherever you can hear it)." Especially if you have at least some good rapport.

Couldn't you simply have gone and asked him in a civil manner if it was possible for him to reduce the volume?
