What do you think causes people to lash out at others unprovoked or to say things that are messed up and wrong about them?

You could point at tons of small things that make them target a specific person. Overall though, that action is because they have some problem they aren't fixing (or can't).

You don't lash out at other people for no reason, or even really care what they've got going on if you're doing your best to make your own life better. The only thing that would make that happen is if there is a reason, like they start crapping on your life or present themselves as an obstacle to your goals.

The person who says "I can't find a job" while passing up a dozen now hiring signs is going to lash out at others though. The person stuck in a routine where there are very few ways out, or maybe because of time constraints no way to find a way out.

There are people who legit can't break out, but most I've known are a victim of themselves and their own mentality. It's much easier to attack others rather than face that about yourself. I was like that in my early 20's
