Anyone here seen the new Barbie movie? What do you think of it? Isn’t it all just about promoting feminism, and the belief that women are oppressed?

Basically if I had to summarize it and oversimplify everything I’d say this.

In Barbieland everything was perfect in a world run by women. Men were subservient, had no jobs, and existed only to satisfy women.

But then they had to travel into the real world where women had less power and influence. Women had very little political representation, and men didn’t exist just to serve them and validate them constantly. Men had actual you know, REAL LIFE JOBS.

But then Ken goes back to Barbieland and the place has changed. Men there decided that they no longer exist just to serve women. They decided to actually start enjoying themselves by forming brotherly bonds. Instead of just always fighting with eachother over women. They decided to form bromances and bond with the brothers more.

And Barbie was upset with this. Because she no longer was the center of the Universe. Men no longer existed merely just to serve women, but women were now voluntarily submitting to men instead because they’d been brainwashed and they needed to be “deprogrammed”

And so Barbie rebelled. She set out to take back her world. Slowly 1 by 1 she managed to convert women who were trapped in the otherwise traditional and misogynistic mindset of WANTING to submit to heteronormative masculine men OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL.

It was a direct attack on traditional minded women. To denigrade them as being enemies of female progress.

And it was also an attack on men who’ve decided they just want to live a little more and ignore women.

It wasn’t even that the men were being legitimately abusive, the issue was just that they started to not validate womens egos anymore.

But yeah, I thought the movie blowed and if I hadn’t gotten high with my friends beforehand, it would’ve been a lot more difficult to watch.

The film itself was just extremely cringe and overdramatized.

The only good thing about it was Barbie was hot. But otherwise her personality sucked and she was just so overdramatic and self centered.

But it showed modern female American culture perfectly at the same time. This belief American women have that they are oppressed and that men are beneath them and that they are powerless to a society that’s rigged against them.

It was meant to inspire women to take over the world and end male domination. Even though male domination has already afforded them political and social equality in western societies.

The issue is simply just that women do not have as much interest in politics as men.
