With all of the S*** that has happened in Ukraine, and all the money we have blown away there, should we have let that happen from the beginning?

It doesn't matter what you think of the people that live there, thousands of innocent civilians have been killed there, the country is in shambles, and they will probably never recover socially, politically, financially, after all of this hell has been stopped.

We have spent BILLIONS of American dollars sending equipment there to let them fend off Russia, and there is no end in sight to the devastation.

Would we even be in this never-ending-nightmare if Joe Biden were not the Chief Executive. This man has no balls at all and is the most cowardly President this country has ever had the embarrassment of having as President.

Russia never threatened to invade Ukraine, and China did not threaten to invade Taiwan when Donald Trump was president. Why? Because they knew that Trump would have American military prevent any such invasion, and the cowardly assholes were scared shit-less of Trump. Whether you love or hate Trump, he would never have stood and watched that happen.

Any time the US inserts itself into a conflict, whether as a supporter or actively engaged, there's never a defined or realistic goal; it's "prolong as long as possible," conveniently hemorrhaging the as much money as possible into contractors, NGOs, and foreign puppets. The only time since WW2 the US has actually gotten involved in a conflict with the explicit goal of total victory was the Gulf War, and even then, not removing Saddam then and there basically teed up the pointless fiasco that was the Iraq War. Even whenever we are about to achieve a victory, we always manage to do something astronomically stupid to shoot ourselves in the foot and blow it.

If the US isn't going to commit fully into something with a specific goal in mind, we shouldn't be committing anything at all.

There is no peaceful resolution to Ukraine that doesn't involve Russia retaining Crimea and the port of Sevastopol. Anyone who says otherwise is either stupid, or intentionally deceiving their audience. It's also worth mentioning that this exact resolution could've already happened over a year ago if the US and Britain hadn't stopped it.

As far as the US as a country is concerned, Ukraine has very little value to us, especially compared to Taiwan who is straight up getting shafted by our diversion of resources to Ukraine. Ukraine is only valuable to the US as a place to launder money and dump military and medical supplies for the excuse to pay off those industries to replenish our numbers. If a war breaks out for control of Taiwan, even if the US backs off, everybody will feel that one.

I think it was not a bad idea to provide some assistance at first, but at some point you have to cut it off knowing that there is no national interest at play there, the cost is immense (in addition to the huge military aid, the US is paying Ukraine's entire government budget, including pensions), the incredible corruption in Ukraine, including with US politicians, and that we have huge needs at home.

We are long past the point where we should have stopped providing aid. My biggest worry at this point is that the administration will send large numbers of US military personnel to Ukraine.

I suggested no such thing. The only reason Putin did not invade Ukraine while Trump was in office was just the 'threat" that such action would not be a good thing for Putin to do.
